Hey everyone! Great article! I really wasn't familiar with this topic at all, so pretty much everything I read was new to me.
I really loved how you linked to other articles within your own work, like linking to the Wiki pages for figures like Alexander II, instead of just using superscript citations. I do think you might be missing a citation for the second sentence in your "Churches" section-- you claim that Alexander II was met with discontent from parishioners but don't really have any evidence to support that claim. Finding a source that details the issues between Alexander and the parishioners would make this point a lot stronger!
I really like the births and deaths sections-- really puts into perspective just how paramount this year was in Russian history.
Maybe instead of labeling each of your sections with bolded titles, you could use the Wikipedia format in dividing your subsections? That way the beginning of your article would include links to each of the subheadings so readers could easily navigate to the parts of the article that interest them most. Also I know this is probably something you guys will do in the future, but I think pictures will really help to enhance your content and you'll be able to find some great visual representations of the topics you're talking about (a map next to the "Expansionism" section would be especially helpful).
All in all, great work! I know it's still a work in progress but you've got a great topic and I can't wait to see how the final product turns out!

Hello! I thought y'alls article was really informative, and I just have some small edits overall.
I think the article could benefit from a bit more historical context prior to 1864, especially in regard to Zemstvo Reform, and perhaps some more detail on what the actual laws did when they were in effect, and the impact they had. In addition, I think unless you're planning on adding many more events, it might be good to combine the events section as it is (just the mention of the Circassian genocide) into your expansionism section, especially given that there's not much detail given about the genocide as it is right now.
Other than that, though, I really liked the sections you guys chose, particularly the births and deaths section. I think the sources you guys have are very strong, and although I think each section could use one or two more sources, I imagine y'all are probably planning on doing that as you finish up.
Ultimately, I think y'all have a really strong start, and I'm excited for the final publish!

Hey guys! To start off, I really liked how you separated the laws into distinct categories, giving the readers an idea as to what the provided information is going to involve. Although you guys do not have many sources, the sources that you did include are reliable, which is arguably the most significant factor in terms of writing an article. Additionally, the incorporation of linking related articles was useful for me given that I could click on related topics that I could not fully comprehend. Finally, I liked how you added figures who were relevant during Russia in 1864. Maybe you guys can expand on this by writing about the reasons why these historical individuals were vital in this particular year.
Another topic you guys can talk about is the culture/norms of people in Russia. You guys can write about popular holidays, personal beliefs, food, clothing, music, language, etc. I also suggest to use headings and sub-headings so that readers can easily understand the structure of the article. Overall, this article does not have sufficient information obviously due to time constraints, but this is a great start!
