A tag has been placed on Rajkiya pratibha vikas vidyalaya, shalimar bagh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article that does not provide sufficient context to identify its subject. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. If you plan to expand the article, you can request that administrators wait a while for you to add contextual material. To do this, affix the template {{hangon}} to the article and state your intention on the article's talk page. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Hi Jatin.

If you want to add some information to this article, please could you make sure that it is written in a neutral manner? In particular, your recend edits contain phrases like "RPVVs have been producing great results from the time they came into existence" and "Providing the best of infrastructure at almost negligible fees-they are truly an example of great system of schools " read like an advertisement.

Your edits also managed to mangle the text of a reference; please don't do that.

OK I wont put the promotional stuff but the info. regarding admissions was not anything like an advertisement...so why was that deleted?

Now I have deleted the stuff you had objection on...I hope my edits are not reverted this time once again. The stuff that exists there is cent percent true. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jatin Shridhar (talkcontribs) 06:47, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Let's take a look at the version you keep reverting to. (here is a link for reference).

  1. "The govt. schools in delhi have always been criticised for poor education but RPVVs came as an exception" OK, but this needs a reference to a news report, government study, or some other independent source which supports this claim.
  2. "Providing the best of infrastructure at almost negligible fees-they are truly an example of great system of schools. They are often regarded as SAS(super ability schools)" This is just promotional puff. It sounds as though you are trying to sell these schools.
  3. "The school in Paschim Vihar won the “National Computer Literacy Excellence Award” in 2003. [4] |accessdate=2009-04-21}}" You see that text there, "|accessdate=2009-04-21}}?" This is there because your addition has mashed up the text of a reference. References are enclosed within <ref> reference goes here </ref> tags and are actually important, it means that people reading the article can look at the source whence the information came and evaluate it for themselves.
  4. The "Admissions" section is directly copied from this website here. If you want to addd this information please rewrite it in your own words. You should not copy information directly from other websites.

I am going to edit this page again, to put some of this right. If you want to add more information please be careful. If you could source any additions to a third-party source that would be ideal.

Finally, when posting on talkpages please sign your posts by typing four tildes ~~~~.   pablohablo. 09:00, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1.Do u know how much these schools charge-Just Rs. 270 an year.So whats wrong about writing that they provide the best of education at almost negligible fees.
2.Whats the problem with copying stuff....I mean, how does it improve the quality of the article if I write it myself.I feel its unfair.
-Jatin SHRIDHAR 18:55, 24 October 2009 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jatin Shridhar (talkcontribs)
  1. Nothing wrong with it if it were backed up by some independent source. Otherwise - it's an advert. "Buy now, best prices!!!"
  2. The problem with copying stuff is that it is not licensed to be copied and reused; anything on Wikipedia is. "All text that you did not write yourself, except brief excerpts, must be available under terms consistent with Wikipedia's Terms of Use before you submit it." Please do not copy chunks of text from other websites.

Please reply here, if you are going to.   pablohablo. 19:11, 24 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

1.OK...now lets talk about the 'RESULTS' section that didnt seem to please you like most of the other stuff. What was your problem with that when I even provide a pdf reference with that clearly showing that they were far ahead in terms of results than other schools. Now that result analysis wasn't done by me but by directorate of education,New Delhi.I know you will have an argument for this also. Now you would say that was promotional stuff. If saying that gold is golden means promotion than that was promotion.Have a look at the result analysis at http://edudel.nic.in/Result_Analysis/2009/Class_XII_2009_dt_170609.pdf .If you think that my language was promotional then write it in your NON PROMOTIONAL language
2.By deleting the ADMISSIONS section you are just not allowing the users to get access to more information. If you think that I should not copy it from other websites then why dont you type that entire stuff in your OWN WORDS
-Jatin SHRIDHAR 12:56, 25 October 2009 (UTC)— Preceding unsigned comment added by Jatin Shridhar (talkcontribs) 12:56, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nope. If you want to include this information, please write it so that it conforms to Wikipedia's standards, not just your own standards. By all means re-add the link to that pdf, see if you can do it this time without screwing up the other references on the page. The admissions section was somebody else's work, and you have no right to donate it to Wikipedia. Doing so contravenes the terms of Wikipedia's license.   pablohablo. 13:16, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I have added a link to the pdf of the results table. If you have any more information that talks about these schools in a neutral fashion, that you did not copy from another website, please add it. The article needs more information, but it must be sourced.   pablohablo. 16:08, 25 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
