Seville Primary School, Victoria

Hello. I found that much of the text in Seville Primary School, Victoria, which you created, is the same as this page on the school's web site. I haven't been able to find out the date of creation of the school's page, so I don't know who copied from whom or whether the copy is all right. I've asked the Wikipedia copyright investigation team to look into it at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2012 April 29 just to be on the safe side. Regards, --Stfg (talk) 21:13, 29 April 2012 (UTC)

Thanks, the School website was definitely there a long time before I created the wiki page. I am a current school council member and past student and the content on the website has been there for at least 6 or 7 years. I also put the content on the school website, both of them (website and wiki page) have had the info sourced from a book about the school called "Over our Shoulder" and have full permission from the school. I think there are some hoops you're supposed to jump through to document that you have permission, but I'm not sure what they are, so I trust the copyright team will take this forward with you. Meanwhile I've taken the copyvio notice off the article page and replied to someone who raised the issue on the talk page to say that all is well. This has now been tagged for more than 7 days so I'm dealing with the listing at WP:CP. To make sure we have permission to use this material please follow the directions at WP:DCM. Essentially this says that there are two options - a) an e-mail is sent from an e-mail address associated with the school or b) the website is modified to make it clear that the text is available under a compatible license. I do strongly suggest that you read the linked page as there is certain wording which, if used, will make the whole process much quicker. Dpmuk (talk) 23:19, 7 May 2012 (UTC)

And you should be aware that we generally don't consider primary schools to be significantly notable to have their own article. In this instance there are some hints that this school may be an exception and be sufficiently notable although it would need work to show this. As such, even if permission is provided we may not keep the article. I would also note that the text on the first teacher may well be considered inappropriate. Dpmuk (talk) 23:24, 7 May 2012 (UTC)
