Hi Jamesecombs,

Please read Wikipedia's Manual of Style page on job titles, at MOS:JOBTITLES. Your edits to the secretary of defense and Lloyd Austin pages are incorrect for the reasons listed there. Please do not revert my edits to these pages again.

Thanks, Wallnot (talk) 15:18, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Jamesecombs: Please stop making these edits to Lloyd Austin and other pages. The "proper nouns should be capitalized" edits you've made are explicitly incorrect under MOS:JOBTITLES and are extremely time consuming to correct. Wallnot (talk) 15:51, 10 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@Jamesecombs: Please read the policy at MOS:JOBTITLES. DoD's policy on what to capitalize is not binding on Wikipedia; the Manual of Style controls all style decisions on the site. Your edits will eventually be reverted, and by continuing to make them after it's been explained why they're wrong, you're creating more work for other editors. Information icon Please do not use styles that are nonstandard, unusual, inappropriate or difficult to understand in articles, as you did in Lieutenant general. There is a Manual of Style, and edits should not deliberately go against it without special reason. ArbCom 2021 Elections voter message[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2021 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 6 December 2021. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2021 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:27, 23 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
