Infobox help[edit]

Hi Jadbaz! Hope I can help. The Template:Infobox Organization uses a meta-template: Template:Infobox so you could propose at Template talk:Infobox Organization to simply add your parameter to the Infobox Organization template (or Be bold and just do it).

As you nearly suggest, it would, I believe be a simple matter of adding | label28 = former name | data28 = {{{former name|}}} and then the infobox would be called up by using {{Infobox Organization|former name=Yoyoyo}}. The data within the triple parentheses in a template is what the parameter name is when the template is called up.

I hope that's understandable. Let me know if it's not and I can make a dummy template example on a Sandbox for you to show what it would be.

Thanks for contacting me, but I don't think I can be of any more use than what DoubleBlue listed here. I've never created any infoboxes myself (I just use them), but if the above info doesn't help you, I'd recommend leaving a message on the talk page of the WikiProject Infoboxes, where one or more members could probably help you. Again, sorry for not being that much help, but if you have further questions in the future, let me know and I'll be happy to help. Happy editing! --Nehrams2020 (talk) 09:42, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. I see that I wasn't very clear. I hope that you don't mind that I went ahead with your idea for a former name field and added it to Infobox Organization. Check out your sandbox and see if that's what you intended. Cheers! DoubleBlue (Talk) 18:50, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I did here. DoubleBlue (Talk) 20:54, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 09:54, 16 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]
