Warning icon Please refrain from hijacking pages as you did with Janardan. Should you believe the subject you were writing about deserves an article, please use the Article Wizard, which has an option to create a draft version that you can then get feedback on. Also see Wikipedia's disambiguation guideline which indicates how to handle separate subjects with similar names. If you continue to hijack an existing article, you may be blocked from editing. If you have any questions, you are always welcome to ask me on my talk page. Thank you. Adam9007 (talk) 15:15, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I want to create page with name Janardan Singh. How to do that ? Jaan jaani6 (talk) 07:05, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article Janardan Singh has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this biography of a living person will be deleted after seven days unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp/dated}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within seven days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Welcome[edit]

Hello Jaan jaani6 and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate encyclopedic contributions, but some of your contributions do not conform to our policies. For more information on this, see Wikipedia's policies on vandalism and limits on acceptable additions. If you'd like to experiment with the wiki's syntax, please do so in the sandbox (but beware that the contents of the sandbox are deleted frequently) rather than in articles.

A tag has been placed on Janardan Singh, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions; however, it appears you may have written a Wikipedia article about yourself. Creating an autobiography is strongly discouraged – please see our guideline on writing autobiographies. If you create such an article, it may be deleted. If what you have done in life is genuinely notable and can be verified according to our policy for articles about living people, someone else will probably create an article about you sooner or later (see Wikipedians with articles). If you wish to add to or change an existing article about yourself, you are welcome to propose the changes by visiting the article's talk page. Please understand that this is an encyclopedia and not a personal web space or social networking site. If your article has already been deleted, please see: Why was the page I created deleted?, and if you feel the deletion was an error, please discuss this with the deleting administrator. Thank you. A tag has been placed on User:Jaan jaani6 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section U5 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to consist of writings, information, discussions, and/or activities not closely related to Wikipedia's goals. Please note that Wikipedia is not a free web hosting service. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such pages may be deleted at any time.

I have declined this deletion to give the editor a greater opportunity to acclimate themselves to the standards of editing for Wikipedia. There is nothing inherently offensive about having this as a userpage, so long as the editor engages productively elsewhere. BD2412 T 17:55, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
BD2412 This editor has apparently been inserting himself into other articles since at least 2016 so I think this is less a case of getting acclimated and more an attempt to boost his online presence. Best, GPL93 (talk) 18:41, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
I am aware of what they have been trying to do. I'm trying to get them to actually be useful. It's a process. I suppose another admin might take a different approach to this, but I'm going to give them that chance. BD2412 T 18:45, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2020[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. It might not have been your intention, but you removed a speedy deletion tag from Janardan Singh, a page you have created yourself. If you believe the page should not be deleted, you may contest the deletion by clicking on the button that says: Contest this speedy deletion which appears inside the speedy deletion notice. This will allow you to make your case on the talk page. Administrators will consider your reasoning before deciding what to do with the page. Thank you. GPL93 (talk) 14:11, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Janardan Singh, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. I have deleted this article, and if it is recreated at this title, I will salt the title so that nothing can be created there. User:Jaan jaani6: I would encourage you to create a draft at Draft:Janardan Singh, and work on the page there until it is ready to be submitted for WP:AFC review. However, you must disclose your connection with the article subject. If you are using multiple accounts, you must declare all of them immediately, and cease using multiple accounts. You will end up getting yourself and the subjects you seek to create permanently banned from Wikipedia, otherwise. BD2412 T 17:57, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2020[edit]

Hello, Jaan jaani6, welcome to Wikipedia and thank you for your contributions. Your editing pattern indicates that you may be using multiple accounts or coordinating editing with people outside Wikipedia, such as Janardan Kameshwar Prasad Singh (talk · contribs). Our policy on multiple accounts usually does not allow this, and users who misuse multiple accounts may be blocked from editing. If you operate multiple accounts directly or with the help of another person, please disclose these connections. Thank you. Megan Barris (Lets talk📧) 16:00, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Some comments to try to help you understand what the problems are[edit]

I see that you have received numerous warnings and messages about your editing, but in my opinion most of the editors involved have not made much attempt to explain what the issues are, so that you appear to honestly not understand what they are objecting to. I am therefore writing this message in the hope that it may help you to understand what about your editing people have objected to. If it achieves that it may help you to avoid repeating the same problems, which is important, because if you do continue in the same way there is a real danger that you will be blocked from editing by an administrator.

  • It is clear that you have edited about subjects to which you are closely connected, such as yourself and organisations you are a member of. You should be aware that Wikipedia's conflict of interest guideline discourages you from writing about those subjects. The main reason for that is that experience over the years indicates that editors with such a connection to a subject they are writing about are likely to find it very difficult, or even impossible, to stand back from their writing and see how it will look from the detached perspective of an outsider, so that they are likely to write in ways that look promotional to others, even if they sincerely think they are writing in a neutral way. Also, if your editing forms all or part of work for which you are paid, whether as an employee, as a contractor, or in any other capacity, the Wikimedia Foundation's terms of use require you to state who is paying you, and what your connection to them is.
  • You have been told that editing for promotional purposes is not permitted, but you don't seem to clearly understand what that means. Promotional editing includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Writing to "get recognition", which if I remember correctly, is what you called it.
Writing to publicise your views and opinions with a view to encouraging people to support or admire those views.
Writing to publicise the work of organisations you are connected to, or to give readers the impression that those organisations are doing good work.
Any other kind of writing designed to encourage people to take a particular view, such as that someone or something is good, or that someone or something is bad.
  • Also, make sure you take note of what has been said to you about using more than one account.

I hope that those comments may help to clarify things for you. I hope you will manage to follow the required standards, so that you can continue editing, and, as I have said, avoid being blocked from editing. JBW (talk) 21:35, 21 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Janardan Singh requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Request reason:

i dont have sufficient knowledge regarding wikipedia guidelines but now i know the reason ehy i am blocked i will follow proper guidelines with expert advice

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Yamla (talk) 10:37, 22 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
