Thanks a lot for your additions to Indo (Eurasian). I have, however, reverted the changes as no citations to reliable sources were provided. Your edits can be put back easily, but they need to have these references that you used. Any question, I'd be happy to help/advise. regards --Merbabu 06:26, 10 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Plan de Campagne

[edit]

Many thanks for your message. I am sure it can assist me if I will contribute again. I soon will be traveling quite intensively so am afraid I will not be spending much time on the Wiki project.

As a rookie to this forum appreciate any comments from more senior contributors and editors. However with all due respect I do find the measures taken to the topic at hand somewhat drastic as returning the article to its old state doesnot enhance its quality nor does it allow specific scrutiny by other users. I have also noticed the following important rule:WP:IAR. Which in this case might very well be applicable.

I have written most from the top of my head one night and detest plagiarism as much as the next scholar. Also much of what I have written is common knowledge in my academic circles. But I'll be happy to add specific references where requested.

If I would cite one particular source of information from my college days in the UK its 'A History of the Modern World' by Palmer and Colton. ISBN 0-07-557417-9

In the meanwhile appreciate it if you would consider resurfacing my contribution herewith allowing the Wikipedia community to make improvements accordingly.

Merci bien and kind regards, JAGO It's just HIS story... 01:11, 12 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:TJALIE.jpg

[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:TJALIE.jpg. The image description page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 16:13, 26 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A suggestion

[edit]

Hi there Jago. I've noticed that you are working up your article additions on your user page. While it's a great idea to do it off the main article, you don't need to do it on your user page which should be about you as a wikipedia editor - ie, kinda like your wiki-homepage. Most people create a sub-page to that work, usually known as a sandbox, but you can call the page whatever you want, indeed you can have more than one page. Next time you are at your user page User:JAGO, add "/Sandbox" to the url. (ie, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:JAGO/Sandbox ). When it asks if you want to create a new page, just create a new one. And, as i said, you can create whatever page you want. I have Newsletter and view architecture pages. Just remember the URL it is case sensitive. Any questions, just ask. Have been preoccupied with day job challenges. Thanks for am compliments. Its great to see the interesting contributions and interest shown to the Indo (Eurasian) article. Hope to be more active soon. Kind regards, JAGO It's just HIS story... 17:05, 26 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, and I am sorry that you were unhappy with my deletion. However, as the article was almost entirely a list of redlinks to articles not yet written and contained no references, I felt that there was no point in keeping it. If you feel strongly about it I could bring it to an AfD discussion, but I doubt that the end result would be any different. Best wishes, --John (talk) 03:01, 26 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thats BS administration. Just a show of power tripping without any consideration to the people working on this article. Ever heard of the Talk page? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.94.191.131 (talk) 22:23, 28 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. When you recently edited Our Struggle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Hatta (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

A tag has been placed on STC Group requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organization or company, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. Hello71 (talk) 03:18, 11 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
