In fact, only one editor participated, stating "Support removal of hyphen". Per WP:RMNOMIN, "If no one has objected, go ahead and perform the move as requested unless it is out of keeping with naming conventions or is otherwise in conflict with applicable guidelines or policy." 162 etc. (talk) 16:32, 10 August 2024 (UTC)

@162 etc.: Hey, I have a question. They said support removal of hyphens, which means they didn't necessarily support the new name, which was proposed by the user. That's why I closed it as no consensus, having said that if I did try to move the article, what would be the ideal name in this case? Also, (no minimum participation is required for requested moves) can I move pages if there's no participation at all? In AFDs, even if one editor participates, the admins close the discussions as no consensus. Thanks, Waqar💬 17:13, 10 August 2024 (UTC)
The title I proposed is Inline hockey. That title does not have a hyphen. Note that User:Graham11 did not explicitly oppose the proposed title.

Hello! Thank you for your assistance on moving the starship pages. However, there appears to have been a bit of a snag, probably related to how I setup the discussion. SpaceX Starship Integrated Flight Test 4 is now redirecting to Starship flight test 1. It should point to Starship flight test 4. IVE move

The [move request for IVE should not have failed].  SMcCandlish is making an incoherent argument which he declined to support with sources, and a majority of oppose arguments cited 'per [user]', ignorant of the fact that argument was incoherent. Other rationale to oppose included incorrect information – IVE is not a contraction of "I have", but is meant to evoke the phrase. Evoke is not the same as being. I disagree. While a move request isn't solely based on votes, the overwhelming oppose arguments to the proposed name indicated a significant lack of support. This suggests no valid rationale was given for the proposed name change, leading to unanimous opposition. Waqar💬 08:21, 15 August 2024 (UTC)
When editors were prompted to speak to policy and guidelines for rationale to oppose, they chose to build consensus around a flawed interpretation of policy and incorrect information. When prompted for evidence for their rationale, they ignore that as well. Wild Boys

You closed Talk:The Wild Boys#Requested move 31 July 2024 as "no consensus" which had one support and 1 oppose. I believe I had shown that the TV series is not the primary topic based on page views and Google, in terms of the argument that things on the DAB that formerly include "The" are ambiguous without "The", except with well known things where per WP:THE there is a more important/generic meaning without "The" like Crown/The Crown things formerly including "The" are sometimes (if not more often than not) searched/called without "The" so even if the other uses were only searched/called without "The" 10% of the time the TV series still wouldn't be primary. Was it a valid concern? As I noted the page views show that the film only gets around 10% of the views so even it it was true that the things formerly titled with "The" weren't known without "The" 90% of the time the film would still not be primary and the Google search backs this up. As I said unless there is a well known meaning without "The" formerly being in the name (WP:THE item 1) most things are known without "The" and readers are unlikely to know such things formerly include "The". If we were talking about Crown v The Crown it would probably be a valid point but we aren't and this point wasn't countered. Crouch, Swale (talk) 18:01, 17 August 2024 (UTC)

RM on Abortion-rights movements

Agreed, I think it should be abortion rights movement. There are different varieties of the movement but they all share a common aim, and singular sounds more natural. I see no reason to re-open the existing RM though; I think a new one should be opened including both abortion rights movements and anti-abortion movements. –CWenger (^ • @) 17:44, 20 August 2024 (UTC)

In matters like this I generally rely on my editing track record to speak for itself. I have replied in similar very few words to that in the past when dragged there by disgruntled editor. Something along the lines of "All I have to say here is that I will allow my editing track record to speak for itself."
Getting drawn in is always unwise. We have either done something silly or we have not. Identifying that one has done something silly, if one has, and saying so is always a good idea, though. hi, sorry am relatively new and don't fully understand how to respond to you in my talk page. noticed the page i just added has a lower case 'bloch-bauer' that should be capitalized but don't know how to change it. it's correct in the actual body but not in the bolded reference above that that seems to be unchangeable. thanks for any help. Hi. First of all, I'd like to congratulate you on your work on creating articles for Indian politicians. I'd want to let you know about Wikidata. Amongst many other things, it allows to link articles and categories and pages from Wikipedias in lots of languages and other projects within the scope of Wikimedia. If you do nothing about the new articles you create, a bot will eventually come and link them automatically. It's no big deal. However, there are already articles for these people, in this case in the Odia language. Linking the article you've recently created will allow to have links to that other version of Wikipedia and also to images in Wikimedia Commons if available. It's very simple. I did it for you for all the articles you've recently created, and you can see here an example of how I did it with Bhadav Hansdah, which is now linked to both that other Wikipedia and to the category with images in Commons. Hey Waqar, you might also find WP:RATER useful when you're creating new pages to quickly create the talk page and add the wikiproject {{WikiProject Biography}}, among others, and the ability to add |living=yes without really having to fuss too much with the talk page.
