Orphaned non-free image File:Subسكرايب-logo.png[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Subسكرايب-logo.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. Ramaksoud2000 (Talk to me) 03:04, 13 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Shahid.net, and it appears to include material copied directly from http://www.mbc.net/en/corporate/channels/shahid.html.

It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. The article will be reviewed to determine if there are any copyright issues.

If substantial content is duplicated and it is not public domain or available under a compatible license, it will be deleted. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material. You may use such publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details. (If you own the copyright to the previously published content and wish to donate it, see Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials for the procedure.) If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Shahid.net requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article or image appears to be a clear copyright infringement. This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.mbc.net/en/corporate/channels/shahid.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Information icon Hello, I'm Deb. I wanted to let you know that I undid one or more of your recent contributions because it appeared to be promotional. Advertising and using Wikipedia as a "soapbox" are against Wikipedia policy and not permitted. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about Wikipedia. Thank you.

Hi. Clearly you either have not read our policy on non-promotional language or have not understood it. Please take a little time to read and understand our guidelines. I am concerned to hear that you are employed to create content on behalf of MBC Group; this constitutes a conflict of interest and you need to be extra careful what you write. Deb (talk) 11:38, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Also, please remember that all claims about viewer numbers, critical reception (eg. the word "popular") and any other statements praising a programme or channel must be backed up by references - and those references must be independent (the company's own website and promotional material will not do). Your recent edits[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. When you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion (but never when editing articles), please be sure to sign your posts. There are two ways to do this. Either:

  1. Add four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment; or
  2. With the cursor positioned at the end of your comment, click on the signature button ( or ) located above the edit window.

This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is necessary to allow other editors to easily see who wrote what and when.

Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 11:48, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Issa.younis,

It seems to me that an article you worked on, Shahid.net, may be copied from http://www.mbc.net/en/corporate/channels/shahid.html. It's entirely possible that I made a mistake, but I wanted to let you know because Wikipedia is strict about copying from other sites.

It's important that you edit the article and rewrite it in your own words, unless you're absolutely certain nothing in it is copied. If you're not sure how to fix the problem or have any questions, there are people at the help desk who are happy to assist you.

Thank you for helping build a free encyclopedia! MadmanBot (talk) 12:53, 31 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Middle East Broadcasting Center[edit]

I undid your December edits to the first paragraph of Middle East Broadcasting Center as they were largely promotional in tone. If you need to go back and correct inaccuracies, fine, but be sure to read WP:NPOV and WP:COI first.

The existing sentence about the Anti-Defamation League which you removed was also non-neutral in tone and the editor who put it in should read WP:NPOV as well, but I don't have time to track him down. I added what I hope is a much-more-neutral sentence to a new section at the end of the article called "Controversy" to address this issue, using the referenced which you edited out. davidwr/(talk)/(contribs) 00:55, 1 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

About Shahid.net[edit]

Hi Issa.younis!

There were a number problem with the "Shahid.net" Wikipedia page.

I would be more than happy to help you with that article, if you can find independent and reliable sources.

Just as an aside: one of my former work colleagues was an fellow Australian called Yunus. We occasionally made jokes about being swallowed by whales that my co-workers didn't understand. I note you started the article just after Christmas. I think Australia (and the rest of the world) would be a better place if more people like me knew who Issa (and Maryam and Yusuf) are.

Hi Peter :)
Thank you for your kind words, and for offering help I will sure be in-touch with you to ask for guidance.
I hope more people around the world would consider the openness to ideas and cultures like the one I precept from your words.
I think whales and pumpkins is what you refer to :)
Best Regards
Issa Younis
Yes, I know who Ayub is. He is one of the 25 prophets. As is Issa, that early C1 radical rabbi. And in 2014 we should still be listing to them: Micah 4:3 --Shirt58 (talk) 14:09, 26 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
