April 2018[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Halloween (2018 film), without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. DarkKnight2149 19:41, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. You appear to be repeatedly reverting or undoing other editors' contributions at Avengers: Infinity War. Although this may seem necessary to protect your preferred version of a page, on Wikipedia this is known as "edit warring" and is usually seen as obstructing the normal editing process, as it often creates animosity between editors. Instead of reverting, please discuss the situation with the editor(s) involved and try to reach a consensus on the talk page.

If editors continue to revert to their preferred version they are likely to be blocked from editing Wikipedia. This isn't done to punish an editor, but to prevent the disruption caused by edit warring. In particular, editors should be aware of the three-revert rule, which says that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Edit warring on Wikipedia is not acceptable in any amount, and violating the three-revert rule is very likely to lead to a block. Thank you. Emir of Wikipedia (talk) 17:02, 29 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

June 2018[edit]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did on Halloween (2018 film). This violates Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Betty Logan (talk) 01:34, 17 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

August 2018[edit]

Stop adding uncited material to articles, as you did with this edit to Spider-Man (Miles Morales). That information is not in the cited source, and as you've already been warned multiple times for this, doing this violates Wikipedia's policy on Verifiability. Thank you. Nightscream (talk) 02:05, 3 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image File:Halloween (2018 film) Teaser Poster.jpg[edit]

⚠

Thanks for uploading File:Halloween (2018 film) Teaser Poster.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:20, 7 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

December 2018[edit]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Dylan O'Brien, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. General Ization Talk 17:35, 3 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I have noticed that you often edit without an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This is considered an important guideline in Wikipedia. Even a short summary is better than no summary. An edit summary is even more important if you delete any text; otherwise, people may think you're being sneaky. Also, mentioning one change but not another one can be misleading to someone who finds the other one more important; add "and misc." to cover the other change(s). Thanks! -Fnlayson (talk) 15:06, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Unsourced edits[edit]

Please refrain from adding unsourced content like you did on the Godzilla: King of the Monsters (2019 film) article. If you continue, it would be considered vandalism and you may be blocked. You have been warned. Armegon (talk) 23:50, 10 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

February 2019[edit]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia. We appreciate your contributions, but in one of your recent edits to Idris Elba, it appears that you have added original research, which is against Wikipedia's policies. Original research refers to material—such as facts, allegations, ideas, and personal experiences—for which no reliable, published sources exist; it also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. - wolf 13:33, 5 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Writing credits on Godzilla vs. Kong[edit]

Please refrain from adding Michael Dougherty and Zach Shield to the writers section of Godzilla vs. Kong. Their contributions were only minor and as of this moment, only Terry Rossio is officially credited as the sole screenwriter. Don't jump the gun until the Writers Guild of America reveals the final writing credits. Armegon (talk) 19:05, 6 May 2019 (UTC)[reply]

July 2019[edit]

Information icon Thanks for contributing to Wikipedia. However, do not use unreliable sources such as blogs, your own website, websites and publications with a poor reputation for checking the facts or with no editorial oversight, expressing views that are widely acknowledged as extremist, that are promotional in nature, or that rely heavily on rumors and personal opinions, as one of Wikipedia's core policies is that contributions must be verifiable through reliable sources, preferably using inline citations. Thanks! P.S. If you need further help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia, or ask at the Teahouse. Thank you.

Please do not add any mention of the Resident Evil series unless you have an official source from NetFlix or CapCom. A blog or third-party where someone claims they 'heard' something is far from a reliable source. --  StarScream1007  ►Talk  22:15, 8 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

May 2020[edit]

Information icon Hello. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia.

When editing Wikipedia, there is a field labeled "Edit summary" below the main edit box. It looks like this:

Edit summary (Briefly describe your changes)

I noticed your recent edit to List of Halloween (franchise) characters does not have an edit summary. Please be sure to provide a summary of every edit you make, even if you write only the briefest of summaries. The summaries are very helpful to people browsing an article's history.

Edit summary content is visible in:

Please use the edit summary to explain your reasoning for the edit, or a summary of what the edit changes. With a Wikipedia account you can give yourself a reminder to add an edit summary by setting Preferences → Editing → check Prompt me when entering a blank edit summary. Thanks! Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Spider-Man: Miles Morales, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Aaron Davis. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Edit summary (third notice)[edit]

Information icon Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. What is your source for the information you added to Mobius?[edit]

Hello! Can I ask you what source you are using for the claim here that "Matthew Macfadyen will portray TVA Agent Paradox in the upcoming 2024 MCU film Deadpool & Wolverine, a continuation of 20th Century Fox's X-Men film series."? Do you have a link to your source that you can share? If you are not sure how to make a citation, despite having edited here since 2017, I can help with that. I can even show you how to do it if you like. What you did in the edit above, however, did not add an actual citation to the article, and instead if you look at the bottom of the page you would see red text saying "Cite error: The named reference MacfadyenParadox was invoked but never defined (see the help page)." If you can link me to the source you are using for this information, I would be happy to help you get it right so that any reader can see where you got this information. Please remember that Wikipedia articles are meant to rely on reliable sources to verify the information that they present. BOZ (talk) 00:13, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

There you go. So the easiest way to create a create a citation would be to put "<ref>" before that link, and "</ref>" after that link, so in other words you end up with "<ref>https://www.theverge.com/2024/2/11/24070042/deadpool-and-wolverine-super-bowl-2024-trailer</ref>" and you can literally copy and paste that citation just like that - if you add a citation like that to anything you add to an article, as long as the source itself and the information you are adding are legit, no one should ever challenge information you add to an article as being unsourced or poorly sourced again. Makes sense? BOZ (talk) 05:19, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Paradox is another version of Mobius in the comics and they've adapted that him as a separate character for the film. Ironman7777 (talk) 13:30, 13 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I issued you a warning. This WP:ORIGINALRESEARCH: The Verge does not mention a character called Paradox, let alone considers it to be a different version of Mobius.
