Your request on the reward board

Hey, I was looking at your request on the WP:Reward Board and it looks like the request is no longer relevant given that the vital articles list has been edited to no longer include contemporary and late modern history, instead having 20th and 21st century history. Recent VA5 cities proposals

Hey, NGL, but I think some of your removal proposals are rather ham-handed. It feels like all you looked at was city population and contemporary significance, while ignoring metropolitan area population, historical significance, and being a state capital. Can I ask you this: how much of the articles you're removing did you READ? pbp 20:03, 20 December 2023 (UTC)

Hi @Purplebackpack89 and sorry for any inconvenience I have caused. I think you made good points there. I did look at the things you were mentioned. I think a good example of this would be that we list Miami at Level 4 rather than Jacksonville despite it being the biggest city in Florida in terms of city limits, but Miami has a bigger metropolitan area than Jacksonville. I also see that the city is a major international gateway to Latin America and the largest cruise port in the world. I'm sure you would agree that Miami belongs on the vital 4 list above any other Florida city. I hope I have demonstrated your point better. I will try to be more careful in making future nominations and consider the factors you mentioned. Interstellarity (talk) 00:15, 21 December 2023 (UTC)
