The article Sean Energy has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Non-notable company. Given references only briefly mention the company and do not demonstrate notability.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. PDCook (talk) 15:14, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I won't seek deletion for now, but be aware that other editors might. Wikipedia has specific notability requirements, and to demonstrate notability you have to provide independent and significant reliable sources. You have certainly provided independent (not affiliated with Sean Energy) sources, but they aren't really significant. They only mention the company in passing or that the company was at an expo. Significant coverage would mean the article was ABOUT the company and would indicate that the company is somehow special. Regards. PDCook (talk) 23:18, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
By the way, you can start a discussion on the article's talk page. That way your comments won't be limited to edit summaries. PDCook (talk) 23:20, 11 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

AfD Nomination: Sean Energy

[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, but all Wikipedia articles must meet our criteria for inclusion (see What Wikipedia is not and Deletion policy). Since it does not seem that Sean Energy meets these criteria, an editor has started a discussion about whether this article should be kept or deleted.

Your opinion on whether this article meets the inclusion criteria is welcome. Please contribute to the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sean Energy. Don't forget to add four tildes (~~~~) at the end of each of your comments to sign them.

Discussions such as these usually last seven days. In the meantime, you are free to edit the content of the article. Please do not remove the "articles for deletion" template (the box at the top). When the discussion has concluded, a neutral third party will consider all comments and decide whether or not to delete the article. PDCook (talk) 05:05, 22 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
