Please delete this account.

We don't delete accounts. In fact, it's not really technically possible. You're free to rename this account or even make a new account with a different username and edit from that one. Don't worry about this one, lots of people create accounts with usernames that violate policy then go on to create a new one and have no problems. :) OohBunnies! A note about your username[edit]

Usernames of companies and/or groups are against Wikipedia policy, the relevant policy can be found here: Company/group names, also the username implies multiple users, again the relevant policy can be found here: Wikipedia:Username policy#Sharing accounts. I realize this is going to look like I'm only posting this because of the AfD but, actually I regularly monitor usernames that are not allowed and notify the user and post a report at Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention. If your wondering why I didn't seek out another user to place this warning, then I would also be breaking a policy "Wikipedia:Canvassing". As you mention at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion "'As much as I'd like to go in and edit this page (as an old-school journalist), I've respected the rule that companies are not to edit their own pages" I too have a responsibility to notify users that I see have chosen a username that is against policy which I am doing here.
What I do not have to do is file a report at Wikipedia:Usernames for administrator attention as my editing history will show I normally do, which most likely would end up with an Administrator blocking you account, instead there is a remedy for these type of issues, you may request to have your username changed, this can be done here Wikipedia:Changing username. Since you account is new and does not have many edits if you go to the link I've provided you can go to the "Venues" section and first check to see if the new username you wish to change to isn't already taken or too similar to an existing account (which can be done here: Special:ListUsers ) then enter your new choice into the "Display users starting at:" input window, if your choice is not taken then just return to Changing username/Venues and click on choice number one "Simple" then follow the instructions there. I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences you may be experiencing and hope you do stay and enjoy the Wikipedia community, it is truly a great project. Mlpearc (powwow) 11:07, 4 May 2012 (UTC) How do I delete my account? This feels like a landmine to me and I don't want to get involved without taking to to get to know the system first. I was trying to be "transparent" with my user name, not to break any rules.[reply]
