It's all good with me. I've been looking alot but i just can't come across any other sources which even mentions the flag. The few sources i have seemed like more then enough for a small article though. Hjemt (talk) 19:58, 5 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'll be giving up on the article. I couldn't find any other secondary source which even mentions the flag in Swedish or English. Thank you for your time. Hjemt (talk) 12:53, 6 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you. I'm quite new to Wikipedia and to how one scavenges for sources but i do believe that there is a lack of articles which mention this topic. I'm not going anywhere though, i'll be here on Wikipedia until i don't see a need for it anymore or when i lose interest. Probably not gonna be anytime soon though. Removing categories

[edit]

I don't see much benefit in your removing categories from articles about ship types of classes. If they're clearly associated with a certain navy, I don't see why it would matter if the articles about individual vessels or not.

With that said, I think it's questionable to sort Swedish archipelago fleet ships as navy ships. They were separate organizations with quite different purposes and traditions. Perhaps a separate category for archipelago fleet ships might be in order. Peter Isotalo 16:41, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Your perspective on having a separate category for individual ships versus ship classes makes sense. And yes, the distinction between the Swedish archipelago fleet ships and navy ships sounds valid too. Maybe a dedicated category for archipelago fleet ships could help maintain clarity? Hjemt (talk) 18:37, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I meant that separate categories aren't really necessary for classes or types. But if *you* think it's called for, you should at least create replacement categories rather than just removing them.
Regarding af Chapman's archipelago vessels, I'm definitely in favor of a category separate from the navy. Just keep in mind that turumas and hemmemas were used by the Russians as well to some degree. Peter Isotalo 07:46, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I believe there already is categories for classes and ships of certain classes. Hjemt (talk) 14:56, 10 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of List of equipment of the Norwegian Navy

[edit]

Hello Hjemt,

Welcome to Wikipedia! I edit here too, under the username Voorts, and I thank you for your contributions.

I wanted to let you know, however, that I have tagged an article that you started, List of equipment of the Norwegian Navy, for deletion, because there's already a page about that topic at List of active Royal Norwegian Navy ships. Please don't be discouraged; we appreciate your effort in creating new articles. To avoid this in the future, consider using the search function to find pages that already cover what you want to write about.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top. If the page is already deleted by the time you come across this message and you wish to retrieve the deleted material, please contact the deleting administrator.

For any further query, please leave a comment here and prepend it with {{Re|Voorts}}. And, don't forget to sign your reply with ~~~~ . Thanks!

~ A412 talk! 00:31, 18 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. I didn't actually expect the article to make it, i just made it for fun, hoping that it could perhaps become of something with a bit of help, but i suppose nothing came of that. I apologise if i made any disruption by creating the article, it was made with no intent to do that. I support the deletion of the article if that is what everyone else thinks is the best choice. Advice

[edit]

It might be a good idea that you do some reading about lists, set index articles and disambiguation pages. I have reverted all your edits of today.

Reading list:

  1. Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists
  2. Wikipedia:Set index articles
  3. Wikipedia:Disambiguation]

That may prevent further accidents. Happy reading. The Banner talk 19:58, 19 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Edit conflict on Myositis

[edit]

Hey,Hjemt

I was editing myositis, and coincidentally, you made another edit, and there was an edit conflict, so I thought to revert my edit, but by mistake, I did yours. I am really sorry for that.Thanks. Harvici (talk) 16:37, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, stuff like that happens and i get it. Edit conflicts can be a little annoying especially when you've spent quite some time on it. I really just reworded the introduction to the article so it wasn't any big and time-consuming edit on my end. Thank you for reaching out. Hjemt (talk) 16:41, 26 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Category:Swedish cruiser classes indicating that it is currently empty, and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion. If it remains empty for seven days or more, it may be deleted under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and removing the speedy deletion tag. Gjs238 (talk) 15:50, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
