KATU: Too many names

[edit]

Please read the following section about naming everyone involved with an article- for instance, a TV station: Wikipedia:ENT#Lists_of_people.

In other words, it's important to follow the guidelines for notability. It might be argued that the major news anchors on a large station are notable- however, listing every on-air personality and assignment reporters isn't. Wikipedia is not a directory. tedder (talk) 01:58, 5 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Before adding names, be certain that the guideline at WP:BIO can be satisfied for each person added. --- Barek (talkcontribs) - 22:57, 9 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Updates to player articles

[edit]

If your gonna update a page, can you please update everything not just the infobox. Otherwise what the hell is the point?--Yankees10 19:43, 5 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

If you don't stop, you will be blocked from editing until 6PM. Eagles 24/7 (C) 21:41, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Dashes

[edit]

Hello, please use en dashes ("–") rather than hyphens ("-") like you used at Ty Detmer, to denote ranges of numbers. Wikipedia has a section in the Manual of Style about dashes which should be followed. Thanks! Graham87 03:01, 12 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Tim Walton (American football), you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bowling Green (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Kevin Cone may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "{}"s. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
