I agree, otherwise people might think you are spamming Wikipedia and delete all of your articles.Calaka (talk) 05:11, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of HH Bhakti Tirtha Swami, and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Bhakti Tirtha Swami. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally moving or duplicating content, please be sure you have followed the procedure at Wikipedia:Splitting by acknowledging the duplication of material in edit summary to preserve attribution history.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. Please Stop[edit]

Please stop posting the same article under multiple titles. The Coren bot will start the deletion process on them when it recognizes that the are copies. The protocol is to make one substantive page - if the person is known by multiple names wp:redirect pages should be made. Porturology (talk) 05:30, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of HH Giriraj Swami, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.iskconhouston.org/articles/swamis/HH%20Giriraj%20Swami.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. See our copyright policy for further details.

Hi. You may wish to heed the advice of some of these other users. There's no need whatsoever to keep reposting the same article over and over again under varying titles. That's what the redirect function is for. You can open a new page and click on the tab marked "#R." Fill in the name of the target article, hit save and you now have an automatic redirect. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:52, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blocked[edit]

You have been temporarily blocked from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy for abuse of editing privileges. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make constructive contributions. If you believe this block is unjustified, you may contest the block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

This is a short, three-hour block. As I and several other users have been pointing out, there is no need whatsoever to create the same article mutiple times as this places unnecessary strain on the servers. There's also the issue of copyright violations. This is nothing personal, but you're inadvertently creating a real cleanup issue for other editors. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:57, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

One other thing: This is a community site; please feel free to use this talk page for communication. Your lack of communication makes it impossible for anyone to ascertain what you're trying to accomplish. --PMDrive1061 (talk) 05:59, 20 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi Harish. There's no need to recreate an article under multiple names. We use redirects for that. So if you wanted to redirect an article called Raga to Ragga, you would just put
#REDIRECT [[Ragga]]
on the Raga page. I hope that makes sense. You can post here if you have any questions.
  • Also, this encyclopedia is based on reliable sources like newspapers, magazines, books, etc. So if you can include cites for independent coverage of the subjects you're creating articles on that would be very helpful. ChildofMidnight (talk) 01:15, 21 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Bhakti Caitanya Maharaj requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Drmies (talk) 04:49, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

June 2009[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. A page you recently created, Duplications, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for new pages, so it will shortly be removed (if it hasn't been already). Please use the sandbox for any tests. For more information about creating articles, you may want to read Your first article. You may also want to read our introduction page to learn more about contributing. Thank you. You appear to be adding multiple articles with the same content. This is wrong. Redirects should be used. Creating copy pages[edit]

Stop creating pages that are copies of other Wikipedia articles. This is considered vandalism. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked. Shadowjams (talk) 06:22, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Rather than calling it vandalism, I can see that you're aiming to help – however, we have a different process. When – for example – a person has a few different possible names, we use redirects to aim all the pages to one main page. If you have six articles all full of information, when one is changed they must all be changed. A redirect avoids this by having only one page of data, with other potential "addresses" directing the reader to it. For example:

Now all redirect to Bhakti Charu Swami. A redirect is placed on one page (let's use Bhakti Svarupa Damodara Swami as an example), as:

#REDIRECT [[Bhakti Charu Swami]]

With nothing else on the page, when someone visits that page, they will automatically be redirected to the main article. I hope I've explained this and you understand – but if not, see WP:RDR or leave me a message. Cheers. Cycle~ (talk) 08:13, 22 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Redirect notice[edit]

Redirected article[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Thanks for creating the article, Bhaktisvarupa Damodar Swami. However, there already is an article on that topic, Bhakti Svarupa Damodara Maharaj, so your article was redirected to the existing one. Please take advantage of the search feature to find similar-named articles before creating them in the future—and feel free to redirect alternate spellings of existing articles. Thanks. A tag has been placed on Iskcon Desire Tree, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. A tag has been placed on ISKCONDESIRETREE requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.
