Factory fire at General Trias, Cavite[edit]

The fire that happened in the Housing Technology Inc. plant last February 1 in General Trias is something recent here, but what about notability? Will the fire amend application of fire safety codes, as the fire happened inside the Export Processing Zone in General Trias, where BFP do not apply because of separate regulations by PEZA ? What about the deaths after, if there will be? If there would be deaths, like in the Kentex fire last 2015 and recorded as the third worst fires in the Philippines after the 1995 Ozone Disco fire, notability will be expected. Remember that you do not rush in creating new articles about events, as notability may be questioned. Thanks. TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 10:45, 2 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Actually, i created an article for that. HTI factory fire. Well, feel free to add more since it is on a infancy stage. - Supergabbyshoe

CPP-NPA-NDF and Philippine government end of ceasefire and PNP cleansing[edit]

Two recent event on the national level, like the end of the CPP - NPA - NDF unilateral ceasefire and the cleansing of the PNP after discovery of large-scale corruption in the police force following the kidnapping and killing of Jee Ick Joo, has not been given strong attention. Looks like you should add the latest developments while coverage is still wide. And for the PNP corruption controversy (and following actions by Rodrigo Duterte and Ronald Dela Rosa ) and the discovery of other cases of kidnapping and detaining of Koreans after the death of Jee Ick Joo, they look like these should have their articles also, not only the case of Jee Ick Joo. Tanay bus crash[edit]

The bus accident at a field trip at Tanay, Rizal looks notable because of its possible effect on safety of field trips signing of waivers for students joining such trips, but is this notable at the first place? Coverage is continuing since February 20, and why not catch up [with creating an article]? TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 15:29, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I really don't know but they were other field trip related accidents before. "Possible effects" won't just cut it imho to establish notability.Hariboneagle927 (talk) 15:32, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
One effect is a moratorium of field trips on colleges and universities, ordered by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED). But, rising awareness on safety of field trips, and the question on applicability of waivers on such trips, may apply, if new coverage related to it appears. Looks like we need to wait to see proof of notability, like its historical importance and lasting significance, if possible.-TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 15:46, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
...as the accident may be only heavily covered as a sensationalist act by media, unless there is proof that notability exists for the event.-TagaSanPedroAko (talk) 15:51, 21 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oishi[edit]

Thanks for improving the Oishi article! One important thing: Please make sure the Chinese names of ethnic Chinese stay in the article: it is important for English-speakers to know the Chinese characters of ethnic Chinese, even if they are not citizens of the PRC nor ROC.
