Hello; I'd like to talk to you about Badcorp.org. You said you wrote the original article [1]; was it published anywhere else? --Merovingian (t) (c) 05:12, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

No. How should I have phrased that?

No, that's not necessary. If you haven't published it anywhere else, than it's not a copyright violation (copyvio). I posted the Copyvio notice because I thought somebody not affiliated with BadCorp had pasted the article from somewhere on the BadCorp website; this is against the rules, but there's no need to worry. I've restarted the article, and moved it to BadCorp.org, since that's the dominant spelling on the website. What do you think about it? I want to you to have at least some of what you wrote in the article. --Merovingian (t) (c) 05:25, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

Alright, thank you. I will begin re-writing the artical now.

That's completely fine, but I will be editing it as well, mainly to make sure it complies with the rules. By the way, welcome to Wikipedia! You can start reading about our community here. --Merovingian (t) (c) 05:35, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

Sounds fair.

I've fixed it up a bit; it's not necessary to mention yourself or other contributors to the article, because you can see who's contributed by viewing a page's edit history: Edit history of the BadCorp.org article --Merovingian (t) (c) 06:05, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

I see. Thanx.

Of course. I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia; you can leave a note on my talk page at any time, if you have any questions at all. --Merovingian (t) (c) 06:12, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

BTW: How do I create a sig.

Typing ~~~~ creates the default. To customize your signature, use the "Nickname" blank on the Preferences page. --Merovingian (t) (c) 06:58, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

Thanx

Sure thing. --Merovingian (t) (c) 07:04, August 29, 2005 (UTC)

About Wikireality[edit]

You deleted this, so I thought I'd have a discussion with you about it. Firstly order of buisness: is it wiki appropriet? The reason I feel it is is because wikipedie is the only medium to try a cooperative experiment like this. I want to see how people will chang and effect this fictitious world. understand? PS: Please note that I was in the prosses of adding to it when you deleted it. --Hakusa - Wiki addict: 05:18, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Hakusa. I found your article "Wikireality" in Category:Candidates for speedy deletion. It was then deleted, as requested by User:William Graham who had tagged it with {{db-nonsense}}. I don't think this article is appropriate as an article in an encyclopedia.
This website is meant for building an online encyclopedia, so please do not use this website to run your experiments.
Frankly, I don't understand what you were trying to say in the article. (You lost me with "one could say "Yuri eats grass to survive".....) If you want a discussion on 'Wikireality', I suggest that you go to Wikipedia:Village pump.
Hope this helps. -- PFHLai 05:37, 24 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned fair use image (Image:Badcorp.gif)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Badcorp.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you.
