Hello, Gtc2009, and welcome to Wikipedia! Thank you for your contributions. I hope you like the place and decide to stay. Unfortunately, one or more of the pages you created, like Yaldhurst Museum, may not conform to some of Wikipedia's guidelines for page creation, and may soon be deleted.

A tag has been placed on Yaldhurst Museum, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Your recent addition to Yaldhurst Museum has been removed, as it appears to have added copyrighted material to Wikipedia without permission from the copyright holder. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. Dear Grant (I am assuming from your username that you are the museum director).

We have a guideline here of "Don't bite the newbies", so I shall try and point you in the right direction: In order to create a high-quality reference work, Wikipedia has established a range of policies and guidelines governing admissible content. The following are relevant to your attempts to create an article about the museum: Please take the time to read them, plus the articles mentioned in the welcome above.

  1. Conflict of Interest - users are asked to refrain from editing articles in cases where they have a conflict of interest through a connection with the subject. It is very difficult to maintain a Neutral viewpoint otherwise. Editors with a COI are asked to make contributions on the article's talk page, and other editors will integrate them with the article
  1. The Notability of a subject is established by whether or not independent Reliable sources have given it non-trivial coverage. If something is notable, someone will have written about it. You will note that blogs, user-editable websites, and community newspapers are not considered notable, and that articles which are primarily reprints of a press release are not considered independent.
  1. Copyright: All content on Wikipedia must be under a free license. It is possible to add material which you have published elsewhere under your own copyright, but your release of the material has to be documented via communication with the Wikimedia foundation, and both bots and humans still have a tendency to spot it and flag it as a copyright violation. Besides, content direct from your website is unlikely to satisfy the Neutrality or verifiability policies.

It is indeed possible that the museum is notable enough to sustain an article, and you are no doubt the ideal person to do so, as you presumably have clippings/references of any newspaper/magazine articles on the museum.
