re rain gardens[edit]

Please do not post copyrighted information on wikipedia. This article Rain gardens was created in the last 48 hours and all of its revisions are a blatant copyright infringement from the website of a commercial content provider: http://www.aurorahealthcare.org/services/free55/news/2004/summer/rain-gardens.asp, with no assertion of permission

Thanks. Jackk 13:34, 6 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rain Barrels[edit]

You created Rain barrels, which contains copyrighted material from [1]. Although it appears you are the original author of that work, you should make yourself aware of the rules of using copyrighted material WP:COPY. I haven't copyvio tagged this article because I believe it is worthwhile and easily fixable. Indeed, I have added some information that might interest you. I have removed the copyright material and added an expand tag. Finally, wiki is not the place for advertising, so I have removed the commercial links.

Removing tags[edit]

Please do not simply remove clean-up tags. Clean-up is an essential part of integrating new material into the encyclopedia.

Copyright problem: Golden Spur[edit]

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome and appreciate your contributions, such as Golden Spur, but we regretfully cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from either web sites or printed material. This article appears to be a copy from http://www.westernwriters.org/awards.htm, and therefore a copyright violation. The copyrighted text has been or will soon be deleted.

If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the GNU Free Documentation License (GFDL) then you should do one of the following:

  • If you have permission from the author leave a message explaining the details at Talk:Golden Spur and send an email with the message to "permissions-en (at) wikimedia (dot) org". See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for instructions.
  • If a note on the original website states that re-use is permitted under the GFDL or released into the public domain leave a note at Talk:Golden Spur with a link to where we can find that note.
  • If you own the copyright to the material: send an e-mail from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en(at)wikimedia(dot)org or a postal message to the Wikimedia Foundation permitting re-use under the GFDL, and note that you have done so on Talk:Golden Spur.

It is also important that the text be modified to have an encyclopedic tone and that it follows Wikipedia article layout. For more information on Wikipedia's policies, see Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.

If you would like to begin working on a new version of the article you may do so at Talk:Golden Spur/Temp. Leave a note at Talk:Golden Spur saying you have done so and an administrator will move the new article into place once the issue is resolved. Thank you, and please feel welcome to continue contributing to Wikipedia. Happy editing! Scog (talk) 09:25, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Iota Gamma Upsilon requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a club, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guidelines for people and for organizations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
