Thank you for your effort at contributing to Wikipedia, especially if you are a newcomer. The Wikipedia community owes its newcomers a lot, and continues to value this as per policy and per practice.

That said, the article you created at Mark Goodacre seems to be erroneously placed, as it seems to consist of information you give about yourself. I have therefore moved it for you to your user space, which is the best location for a user's information about themselves in the first place.

Don't be upset; this is a common mistake.

If you really did mean to create an article about yourself, please be aware that this is often considered a bad idea, even if you do meet the guidelines for inclusion of biographies. Writing about yourself on Wikipedia can result in significant damage to your reputation, as it's a conflict of interest and widely considered to be an abuse of the project. As a technical note, an autobiographic article is usually eligible for deletion without further discussion under criterion A7 in the criteria for speedy deletion as an article about a real person that does not assert the importance or significance of its subject, or under criterion G11 in the same list, obvious advertising or promotion.

I know Wikipedia can be confusing for new editors, so you are welcome to ask for help at the Teahouse or on my talk page. Akradecki 04:49, 8 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
