Someones word isn't enough, it has to be proved somehow, maybe you could ring the school or something and tell them to upload some images. I need to see the em as an M and the M as a V.Mindys12345 03:55, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Karl (Janitor), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article seems to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you feel that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. PGWG 16:32, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Please do not remove speedy deletion tags from articles that you have created yourself, as you did with Karl (Janitor. If you do not believe the article deserves to be deleted, then please place {{hangon}} on the page (please do not remove any existing speedy deletion tag) and make your case on the article's talk page. Administrators will look at your reasoning before deciding what to do with the article. Thank you.PGWG 16:34, 12 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Empire Lakes Golf Course

[edit]

A "{{prod}}" template has been added to the article Empire Lakes Golf Course, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but the article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice explains why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may contest the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page. Also, please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached. Notability of Rickie Fowler

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Rickie Fowler, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

Hello, about the following text that you put on page Talk:Rickie Fowler:

HE WAS THE #2 JUNIOR PLAYER IN THE WORLD FOR THE LAST 2 YEARS. HE FINISHED RUNNER UP TO PHILIP FRANCIS IN THE 2006 US BOYS JUNIOR AMATEUR. IF THATS IS NOT CONSIDER NOTEABLE I DON'T KNOW
WHAT IS. PLESAAE REINSTATE THE PAGE.

This is the kind of information that should have been on the page in the first place; the only text that was there was saying that he is "an amateur golfer", which, you will probably agree, is not very notable. You are welcome to recreate the page if the new version contains indication of notability. It would be very useful too if you are able to provide some sources to back up the notability claims.

More generally, welcome to wikipedia — if you need any help, please do not hesitate to contact me. Schutz 07:14, 10 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unreferenced BLPs

[edit]

Hello Golfguy11! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot alerting you that 1 of the articles that you created is tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. if you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 32 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Eddie McKiernan - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

The article Chino Challenge has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Can't locate any non-local, non-routine coverage of this event.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. ♠PMC(talk) 09:55, 12 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]
