Information icon Hello, I'm Fakescientist8000. I noticed that you recently removed content from Bose Corporation without adequately explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an accurate edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry; the removed content has been restored. If you would like to experiment, please use your sandbox. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Cheers, atque supra! Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Bose Corporation, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. General Ization Talk 16:47, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No worries, I looked and researched to the best of my abilities but I understand and thank you. Scottmar82 (talk) 16:50, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at Garmin, you may be blocked from editing. General Ization Talk 16:49, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have the same vehicle with the same equipment so I'm going on that and I did more research into the systems and that's what I found so I thought it would be informative for people. Scottmar82 (talk) 16:52, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Please see Original research to see why your personal knowledge based on your vehicle may not be used as a basis for editing Wikipedia articles. General Ization Talk 16:53, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Ok ive taken that on board and understand now. Thank you. Scottmar82 (talk) 16:54, 10 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

August 2023

[edit]

Information icon Please do not remove maintenance templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Garmin, without resolving the problem that the template refers to, or giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your removal of this template does not appear constructive, and has been reverted. Thank you.

In this case, all you have done is added a section on "car audio" with a single citation to a non-independent source (namely, the partner company, VW). In doing so, you have actually made the problems worse. wjematherplease leave a message... 19:40, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Ive tried to help rather then hinder, i disagree with the templates on the page, i will try and find better citation links though Scottmar82 (talk) 19:48, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Being overly reliant on Garmin's own press releases, blogs and websites for verification is precisely what one of the tags is about, and you just added another one. To be clear, we require independent (i.e. not associated with the subject) reliable sources to ensure content is written from a neutral point of view. wjematherplease leave a message... 20:27, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
OK i understand, I'll try to understand that more for the future, thank you. Scottmar82 (talk) 20:30, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

ArbCom 2023 Elections voter message

[edit]

Hello! Voting in the 2023 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 11 December 2023. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2023 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:38, 28 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
