Newspaper?

Isnt this like a newspaper? New ppl who like reads will not know like who the hell is flash sentry like a small joint will help man and plus other than twilight the mane 5 has details on their human ponyfied form so for fks sake let me addin man — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fireydash21 (talkcontribs) 14:06, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

This is an encyclopedia, not a newspaper. Gial Ackbar (talk) 14:09, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
At least i should add in what twilight has on her ponified form, what type of pony is flash sentry and how spike was treated as a dog in the end can i? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fireydash21 (talkcontribs) 14:12, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
The Spike part definitely not, that is completely irrelevant. And details about the Equestria Girls film should be the article My Little Pony: Equestria Girls, not in the character list about the series. I added that he was a peagasus guard, but that should do it. Gial Ackbar (talk) 14:19, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

Erm u didnt and i received an error while correcting some grammar what happened — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fireydash21 (talkcontribs) 14:25, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

Probably an Edit conflict. That happens, when two users try edditing at the same time. And I did include pegasus guard. Gial Ackbar (talk) 14:28, 10 January 2014 (UTC)
But its not stated maybe try again? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fireydash21 (talkcontribs) 14:32, 10 January 2014 (UTC)

Errr the equestria twilight can only enable the magic in the trailer even though it seems the mane 6 can receive them just by playing the instruments it can be possible twilight has already got into the world — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fireydash21 (talkcontribs) 13:48, 15 February 2014 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Ed, Edd n Eddy, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jim Miller (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Fireydash21 is reverting this article to a May 3rd version of the page that ignores hundreds of edits that have occurred in the past two weeks. So, I reverted to a newer version, last edit, 02:54, May 16, 2014‎ by User:Anon126. I hope that is okay. It is extremely arrogant to revert to a previous version when an editor was last active as if other editors have no made further improvements to the article. I don't want to get into an edit war but I think this is really presumptuous behavior. Liz Read! Talk! 23:10, 17 May 2014 (UTC)

Hi

Is creating a separate Wikipedia page necessary for the "Rainbow Rocks" movie soundtrack? I am currently in the process of building one at this very moment. Prince Silversaddle (talk) 21:15, 11 September 2014 (UTC)

Hi Prince Silversaddle. What exactly makes a soundtrack to a film notable for Wikipedia? Is there any "significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject"? If not, I don't see why this soundtrack needs an article. Gial Ackbar (talk) 09:08, 12 September 2014 (UTC)

Minor typos in quotes

I noticed that you reverted my edit here. It's not a big deal to me, but I wanted to be sure you were aware of MOS:QUOTE language that says, "However, trivial spelling and typographic errors should simply be corrected without comment (for example, correct basicly to basically and harasssment to harassment), unless the slip is textually important." --LilHelpa (talk) 12:16, 24 February 2015 (UTC)

Quick Question

Do you know how much info (or references) should be enough for "My Little Pony: Equestria Girls - Friendship Games" to have its own article? -Prince Silversaddle (talk) 01:26, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

@Prince Silversaddle: It "must receive significant or in-depth coverage [in third party references (not from fans or the publishers)] to be notable" until it is released. See Wikipedia:Planned films for details. Gial Ackbar (talk) 07:54, 6 May 2015 (UTC)

Jayson Thiessen and Jim Miller

The section was clearly labeled as "Directed by" and the note said "episode's opening credits", no-where in that box should Jim Miller get any credit for it as he is the co-director for "The Cutie Map", not the director. Give credit where credit is due, Gial.-Prince Silversaddle (talk) 20:59, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

@Prince Silversaddle: "co, an English prefix meaning coming together." That just means he is director together with him. Therefor he still is a director of that episode. Gial Ackbar (talk) 21:20, 16 May 2015 (UTC)

Hi

Just letting you know that a user by the name of Bovineboy2008 had completely changed the Friendship Games' info-box to "{{infobox television..." into 100 percent believing that the film will be a televised movie event and not a theatrical film. To get a better understanding of what I'm trying to tell you, look at the page's view history... https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=My_Little_Pony:_Equestria_Girls_%E2%80%93_Friendship_Games&action=history

I know that, as I have just about every MLP article on my watchlist, and it has already been reverted by someone else. Gial Ackbar (talk) 07:16, 6 August 2015 (UTC)

FiM Notes

I have talked with multiple fans throughout the fandom, including the site owner of the famous "My Little Wiki" and most have all responded that, in fact yes, it's mostly collectors that use the G4 term to distinguish the different "My Little Pony" shows from one another. If necessary, I will provide citations, but this edit is staying. Thank you. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GamerOfChaos (talkcontribs) 17:14, 25 August 2015 (UTC)

Quick Question

Are you familiar with the faces of the crew and voice cast of "Friendship is Magic"? Such the ones from this tweet (https://twitter.com/Wm_K_Anderson/status/643422229649227776). The only ones I know are Daniel Ingram, Meghan McCarthy, Cathy Weseluck, Tara Strong, and William Anderson). Who are the other four people? -Prince Silversaddle (talk) 17:43, 17 September 2015 (UTC)

No, but I’m sure someone at MLP-Wiki can identify them.
Hey, sign your posts, whoever you are who replied to Prince Silversaddle. The person second from the right is Jayson Thiessen, and to his right (our left) is Rebecca Shoichet. The guy on the far left reminds me of Terry Klassen or Ian James Corlett, but I'm not sure. Dogman15 (talk) 02:45, 21 March 2016 (UTC)

Legends of Everfree

Canadian actor, Brian Doe, just confirmed via Twitter that he's going to have a role in the upcoming 2016 film "Equestria Girls IV: Legend of Everfree". I want to know if this kind of information would be acceptable to place on the "Development and production" section of the film's Wikipedia page. Is this type of info acceptable? ( https://twitter.com/BrianJDoe/status/758104009982881792 ) -Prince Silversaddle (talk) 05:32, 28 July 2016 (UTC)

EG is canon

I think you may have misunderstood Meghan McCarthy's meaning when she confirmed EG being canon to FIM. In some way, I understand what she mean, but I don't think she put some secret meaning when she said "in that". When she said "In that", she was simply meaning the event, like "Yes, in that event she went through the experience and learned something from it".

As for multiple sources that says that it's "canon", "Non-Canon" or "Left to our own canon". The only sources we have that are official say that it is canon, coming from Meghan herself who is currently working at Hasbro, so she knows more then anyone else.

When Meghan said that we could choose whether to include or dismiss it from our canon, she said, an I quote "You can choose and it won't go against your head-canon if you say no". Head-canon, meaning our own personal canon that is left to our own opinion, meaning her confirmation of EG being canon was accurate, but we can choose to ignore it if we wish, even though the fact of the matter is that it's canon.

As for sources that say it isn't canon, there are none, I've looked. One or two plot-holes in the story change nothing. We've had a few references from at least the first EG series, including a cameo appearance of a major character who seemed very familiar with the main characters.

And to prove this more, it was said that Hasbro hired the original staff and actors to maintain continuity with the show. Continuity, meaning to follow from where the show left off, which was Magical Mystery Cure.

Now I won't edit the page any further, but I think you're looking at what she said in a more complicated way than its tells us. Because I think you forgot when she answered "Yes" to the question of if it was canon to FIM. Frontdoor6 (talk) 15:36, 27 April 2017

Sir

I was just trying to add a reference to confirm Joe Ballarini's involvement.

If I'm not getting the hang of this, please help me out. I've been trying to add a reference about the whole thing but still I can't seem to straighten the whole thing out.

There's a reference about him on Rotten Tomatoes. If you don't believe me, see for yourself, I'm telling the truth.

Surely Rotten Tomatoes is a reliable source.

Besides that, it's still being said that Ballarini was brought in to write the script. It was never said if he left even after they brought Meghan McCarthy, Rita Hsiao, and Michael Vogel to write the script.Austin012599 (talk) 18:49, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

@Austin012599: The reference was certainly not formated correctly. I recommend you do not use visual editor, but edit the source code to get the reference done properly. Gial Ackbar (talk) 18:59, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

How do I do that?Austin012599 (talk) 19:05, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

@Austin012599: At Your editing Preferences, check "Temporarily disable the visual editor while it is in beta". (I would recomend everyone not to use visual editor but edit the source itself, as it can avoid a lot of problems.) Then just edit the article source code and look how the other references are formated. Gial Ackbar (talk) 19:14, 15 June 2017 (UTC)

Should MLP: The Movie be included on the episode list?

Would you agree to make an edit to the series overview on the page ((My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic)) to the edits made on the page ((List of My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic episodes))

If you disagree with me I would like for you to read my explanation as to why I believe the film should be listed on the main page as well as the episode page.

Series that spawn films are usually included in the episode list (series overview) because they are technically seen as part of the series. Equestria Girls was regarded as such but became its own film series and then it's own YouTube series which is why it is no longer listed. Series such as SpongeBob and The Simpsons both have their films in the episode listing as well, even though they are feature films. Elements of the film are said to make its way into the series itself and Jim Miller has himself stated where the film is chronologically placed between seasons. I would prefer if the Movie was included here until/unless sequels are announced, in which case it may have its own listing. If you disagree I would suggest deleting The Simpsons film from the episode listing and any others that are similar. The film itself was even suggested to be an extended episode and, although that is incorrect, where would you suggest a special episode should be listed if one was made? I honestly don't think the film needs to be included but it should be stated where the film takes place in regards to the series.

Other wiki editors have agreed and made subsequent edits to the page. Thanks for listening. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27Canislupus (talkcontribs) 19:47, 13 November 2017 (UTC)

To Clarify

I know that what I put down wasn’t given a reliable source, but, to be honest, it really is true fact. It comes more from personal experience rather than a website or book. I’ve seen tons of movies where opinions by critics and audiences is very divided, different, and not all they’re cracked up to be.

Have you ever seen a movie or tv show where critics call it terrible but audiences call it awesome?Austin012599 (talk) 22:15, 17 November 2017 (UTC) Austin012599 (talk) 22:15, 17 November 2017 (UTC)

I've seen it, I personally didn't like it, but that does not matter. We need reliable sorces for Wikipedia, nothing else. Gial Ackbar (talk) 10:34, 18 November 2017 (UTC)

Reverting my edits for no reason -1 rep BrightMinty (talk) 16:51, 17 September 2021 (UTC)

I did give a reason. Gial Ackbar (talk) 17:02, 17 September 2021 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Princess Twilight Sparkle, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Martha Speaks. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Good to hear that, but I honsetly do not know what you are talking about. As you are editing without using a regisered account, I do not know what other edits you have done and what could have sparked a conflict between us. Gial Ackbar (talk) 19:43, 2 January 2022 (UTC)

Context

That edit I made on Sonic the Hedgehog (TV series) was to point out the fact that the show was an Italian-American co-production. Italian-American is not a singular country, but rather a term to to describe an Italian-American co-production in this context. 73.152.84.232 (talk) 12:52, 2 September 2022 (UTC)

The Muanl of Style clearly states: "A series's nationality (country of origin) should be referenced by reliable sources, directly if possible, but otherwise by referencing the country or collaboration within which principal creative control was exercised. If singularly defined, it should be identified in the opening sentence. If the nationality is not singular or cannot be supported by appropriate citation, omit the information from the introductory sentence and cover the different national interests later, where these can reliably be referenced." Italian-American are two countrys, so the nations of origions are not singularly defined and therefore should not be in the lead desction. I should have been more clearly in the edit summary to avoid this confusions, as not everyone is familiar with that specific style rule. Gial Ackbar (talk) 16:57, 3 September 2022 (UTC)

YOU!!!

Why do you keep reverting my edits? 71.167.56.30 (talk) 17:14, 19 October 2023 (UTC)

I don't know what edits you are talking about, as you are using a dynamic IP. Could you be more specific. Also, using three exlemation marks in the title seems offensife, try to be more polite. I usually revert edits when the are unsourced, seem incorrect or appear to be vandalism. But other reasons might also aplly. Gial Ackbar (talk) 19:22, 19 October 2023 (UTC)
