Repeat References[edit]
Hi, Geust. I noticed you've been adding endorsements to some of the presidential campaign articles, such as Barry Goldwater 1964 presidential campaign. Thanks for doing that work. However, I see you've been adding duplicate references (e.g., FNs 146-58 of the Goldwater campaign article). These should be consolidated into a single instance of a reference by giving it a name that is then called in later iterations (e.g., FN 2 of the Goldwater campaign article). In the code for the initial instance of the reference, the <ref>
tag at the beginning should be replaced with <ref name=NICKNAME>
. That way, in later instances, you can call the reference by typing <ref name=NICKNAME/>
instead of duplicating the reference's code and thereby cluttering the list of references. Ping if questions. Thanks, Tyrol5 ▸ [talk] 22:15, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
- Hi again. To give you a sense of what I mean, I've gone ahead and cleaned up the Goldwater article as I described above. You can see the changes I made here. Thanks again. Tyrol5 ▸ [talk] 23:23, 31 March 2022 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for March 31[edit]
Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited 1976 Republican Party presidential primaries, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Bill Young. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
