Hello Gerard,[edit]

I've been following all the excitement around your (voluntary) class assignment. I just want to point you to Wikipedia:School and university projects, in case you haven't read it. Good luck, Hordaland (talk) 05:45, 21 November 2010 (UTC) Thanks - hadn't come across that until now. Gerard Clinton (talk) 11:54, 22 November 2010 (UTC)Gerard Clinton[reply]

List of articles your students will be working on[edit]

Hi, Thank you for you comments at the sockpuppet investigation page. I have replied to your comments there but incase you haven't seen my reply I'm going to make the request here as well. We would like to help you make sure that your project is successful and that your students can contribute constructively to wikipedia. We have a few tools at our disposal that will enable us to review the students edits, however to make it easier to implement these methods it would be helpful to know which articles the students will be working on. Hence, please could you provide us with a list of articles that the students will be concentrating their efforts on? Best regards Jdrewitt (talk) 10:27, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have compiled a list here of all the articles edited by your students thus far. Please let me know of any other articles that the students are likely to be editing. Thanks Jdrewitt (talk) 11:20, 21 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]
All the names listed here are now unblocked. If there're any students' accounts that are still blocked, please let us know. Please advise your students to familiarize themselves with Wikipedia policies before editing. Encourage them to start with something small (such as correcting a typo, fixing up grammar or a missing punctuation) before tackling with bigger stuff such as adding references or rewriting a section. Thanks guys for the advice and guidance. I've posted the list of articles on the students' Moodle page and told them to notify me if they are planning edits outside of the articles listed. I'm hoping that moving on from this that our students work will enhance the quality of information on these pages rather than what has been going on heretofore!
