Your self promotion on Gary McHale[edit]

Considering the only citation you made from CTV.ca described the incident as something different your edits look like endless self promotion. Anonymous letters and your own web site and blog are not valid references. If you can find some citations from national publications which describe you as a "civil rights activist" or back up anything else you keep adding then please feel free to quote them; but until then stop with the self promotion and claims that you cannot prove. --Blowdart | talk 12:13, 18 May 2008 (UTC) Yes, its important for Mr. McHale to stop this type of self-promotion. Its not at all what Wikipedia is about, or for. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.159.226.118 (talk) 15:50, 13 September 2011 (UTC) [reply]

Please stop[edit]

As requested by Blowdart above please can you stop adding material to the Gary McHale article unless it is backed up by reliable secondary sources. If you continue to add unverified statements I will have no hesitation in blocking you for disruptive editing. Kind regards, nancy (talk) 12:58, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

As pointed out by Blowdart, blogs and your own website are not considered reliable sources by Wikipedia. Several editors have taken a deal of time and trouble to clean up the article today and that has included looking for sources which meet Wikipedia's standard; unfortunately a search for reliable, secondary sources which support your own viewpoint has so far drawn a blank. A number of us are now watching the page so perhaps the wisest course of action would be for you make your argument on the article's talk page so that all interested parties can participate. Your recent edits[edit]

Hi there. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. If you can't type the tilde character, you should click on the signature button located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your name and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when. Thank you! --SineBot (talk) 13:27, 18 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
