Yes, I understand and will not add these links to myspace to Wikipedia again. Sorry about the mistake, the page contained a lot of data plus under the photo section as well as music clips that support the biographic data. Correction accepted.

May 2008[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Nikki Hornsby do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Since Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia.

Your edit here was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove unwanted links and spam from Wikipedia. If you were trying to insert a good link, please accept my creator's apologies, but note that the external link you added or changed is on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia.

The external links I reverted were matching the following regex rule(s): rule: '\bmyspace\.com' (link(s): http://www.myspace.com/nikkihornsby http://www.myspace.com/nikkihornsbyfanpage) . If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, or similar site, then please check the information on the external site thorougly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creators copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).

Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! XLinkBot (talk) 23:31, 24 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

If you have a close connection to some of the people, places or things you have written about on Wikipedia, you may have a conflict of interest. In keeping with Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy, edits where there is a conflict of interest, or where such a conflict might reasonably be inferred from the tone of the edit and the proximity of the editor to the subject, are strongly discouraged. If you have a conflict of interest, you should avoid or exercise great caution when:

  1. editing articles related to you, your organization, or its competitors, as well as projects and products they are involved with;
  2. participating in deletion discussions about articles related to your organization or its competitors;
  3. linking to the Wikipedia article or website of your organization in other articles (see Wikipedia:Spam);
    and you must always:
  4. avoid breaching relevant policies and guidelines, especially neutral point of view, verifiability, and autobiography.

For information on how to contribute to Wikipedia when you have conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Business' FAQ. For more details about what constitutes a conflict of interest, please see Wikipedia:Conflict of Interest. Thank you. Chubbles (talk) 16:58, 6 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Look, this is the last time I'm going to ask. Please stop treating this article like it's an advertisement for Hornsby. If you do not I will have to ask for administrator intervention for this account. Chubbles (talk) 18:34, 7 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I am sorry if you see it as an advertisement for Nikki when I am just trying to put the truth out with verification of data stated.This data is not fiction. Just putting the truthful information out to be read when a lot I personally have not shared before in public. Thought that the public would be interested in knowing the supported data written by myself. Could use your personal help if you'd like to do the research and add these facts which I can provide documental support. Would you help please? Thank you, Nikki Hornsby

Ms. Hornsby, I'm sorry to say that I must recommend that you avoid editing the article heavily in the future. In order for your changes to be constructive, they need to be properly formatted (which has been a recurring problem), well-written, and neutral in tone; many of the changes made make the page sound like ad copy, something we'd read on a musician's own website rather than something we'd read in a book or an encyclopedia. If you wish to continue contributing to the page, you need to familiarize yourself with these pages: WP:COI, WP:ADVERT, WP:RS, and WP:NPOV. It will save us all a lot of time and explanation. License tagging for Image:DrLaura&NikkiHornsby.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:DrLaura&NikkiHornsby.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 05:08, 12 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:FocusGuitar3x2wTxt.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading Image:FocusGuitar3x2wTxt.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Sdrtirs (talk) 16:48, 21 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You have been accused of sockpuppetry. Please refer to Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/CJP Staff for evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with notes for the suspect before editing the evidence page. MuZemike 00:14, 11 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:HornsbyForHornsbyPlus .jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement of https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIP.5OovtLBocV_gSNrKf8bhuQHaKf?pid=ImgDet&w=84&h=84&c=7&dpr=2.34. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use it — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
