Spice Girls

Yes, I noticed a while back that Spice and its singles would make a nice featured topic and a lot of work was already done with three of the singles being GAs. Sadly I don't have any of the books available and, while Coolcoolmen16 and Mister sparky bicker over the discography page, I wouldn't touch it with a bargepole.

I have one project that is about to finish and another that will be finished in a month or so. However, if you have access to these books, I would be honoured to work with you on a whole discography project, starting as soon as we can. Where do you want to start? -- EA Swyer Talk Contributions 09:36, 8 October 2009 (UTC)

I'll drop you a line once I'm done. -- EA Swyer Talk Contributions 19:35, 8 October 2009 (UTC)
One of my projects has finished and the other just needs time (I'm waiting for an external website to come back up after a server update before I can take a certain article to FLC again). I'm happy to start our Spice Girls project in the next few days. If you add information from your books, I can format and copyedit it into a coherant article. Oh and I'd like to go for a featured topic, rather than a good topic, so we need some featured articles. Looking forward to working with you. -- EA Swyer Talk Contributions 01:03, 20 October 2009 (UTC)

Ping

Hey there how are you? I am fine. Busy promoting Confessions Tour. I'm so happy that it is the first complete GA worthy article on concert tours. What are you working on? --Legolas (talk2me) 07:26, 21 October 2009 (UTC)

As I said I nominated Confessions Tour and The Confessions tour album for GA and have nominated Madonna albums discography for FL. Next I'm sizing up "Give It 2 Me" for FA and then the whole Confessions on a Dance Floor era for Good topic. So, brrrrr, shocking works now. --Legolas (talk2me) 10:16, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Ya I will definitely. But just waiting for those two to go down the charts completely. Otherwise the petty edits day by day are too much to handle while updating it for GA. I have a dream of taking the whole Fame era of Gaga to GT. Left are "Eh, Eh", The Fame Ball Tour and the new singles from teh re-release. Sighhhhhhhhhh!!! --Legolas (talk2me) 10:31, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
Seriously dude. The moment I think that ok, now the articles are ready, I can submit them for GA, she announces something new and all those petty editors come back and start adding fancruft. Don't know when the Gaga articles will ever be ready, but I expect to take "Just Dance" and "Poker Face" to FA atleast. In the meantime I do have the headache of the Madonna articles. Grrr! --Legolas (talk2me) 11:03, 21 October 2009 (UTC)
I do want to improve some Cyndi Lauper songs like Time After Time... iffffff I ever get that 4 letter word called TIME!! --Legolas (talk2me) 04:17, 22 October 2009 (UTC)
Sighh. Thats why I'm concentrating on the Madonna articles only. Also there is the matter of data availability which is easier with the Madonna songs as there are countless books, scholarly analysis etc for her work. --Legolas (talk2me) 04:28, 22 October 2009 (UTC)

harvnb

Hey Frcm, I just found out that the book notations that we added to the Madonna True Blue articles, we need to format them according to the {{Harvnb}} template so that they link to the actual book. I will do it for Live to Tell and Papa Don't Preach today. Check if you can. --Legolas (talk2me) 07:11, 2 November 2009 (UTC)

I made some corrections to the citations that you did at Papa don't Preach, main difficulty comes with the co-authors names. Well I'll try to do the same for the Madonna articles and the True Blue articles as well. Grrr if I knew about it beforehand we wouldn't have so much trouble now. --Legolas (talk2me) 03:28, 5 November 2009 (UTC)

Oh my my

You are always a boon regarding finding sources. How do you do it I have no idea? Many many many thanks. :D --Legolas (talk2me) 12:43, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

Sigh! I know. Sometimes I really think of commiting wiki-suicide like Realist2 with all these kind of accusations of being a fancruft writer and PR promoter of Gaga. I raised a discussion at WP:WQA regarding his accusation of other editors like this. Would you like to comment there? --Legolas (talk2me) 12:58, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Also, I finished reading the info on the SOS link. Actually the material is a little too techinical for me, will you help me a bit with that link as I cannot exactly decide which parts would be best to add to the article. --Legolas (talk2me) 12:58, 13 January 2010 (UTC)
Im sure you will add the correct thing. You are technically more knowledgable than me when it comes to music articles. Complete trust in you :) --Legolas (talk2me) 13:48, 13 January 2010 (UTC)

The Fame

5x Gold in Germany = 500,000. 2xPlatinum = 400,000 which is why I put both. I wasn't putting it there regarding "Poker Face". It was there to show readers of Wikipedia that it qualifies for 2xPlatinum. Jayy008 (talk) 01:17, 28 January 2010 (UTC)

French chart

Hi Frcm1988 ! No, unfortunately, there is no chart that combines physical and digital charts in France. Both are official, as they are established by the Syndicat National de l'Édition Phonographique (SNEP), as you can see on the website of the organisation ("Singles" and "Téléchargement Titres", on the left). French music websites such Ozap and Charts in France provide sales figures for the four charts (physical and digital charts for albums and singles) when they are available. Physical chart remains the most popular as it is much more older (created in 1984 ; the number one on this chart is the sole mentioned in the title of pages on Ozap and Chart in France), but the digital chart becomes more and more important because the number of downloads is generally higher than the physical sales figures. A single may be a hit on one of them, but a failure on the other (e.g., "Sextonik" was #1 on the singles chart, but fails the digital chart ; "Toi + Moi" was a huge success on the digital chart [#1 x 6], but didn't appear on the single chart). I really think it's high time the SNEP decided to merge both charts to reflect the real market for singles/albums in France. PS: Sorry for my bad English, it's not my native language ! Regards, -- Europe22 (talk) 23:29, 30 January 2010 (UTC)

Like a Virgin

Hi Frcm. I was wondering did you have a chance to look in the material that you posted on my talk page regarding the recording info of "Like a Virgin"? Just Asking. --Legolas (talk2me) 12:31, 16 February 2010 (UTC)

Ummm wow. That was fast! Why don't you add them in the article? I want it to be your contribution please :) --Legolas (talk2me) 04:22, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
Well its 10 am here in India. And yeah, please take your time. I believe the info can go in the section called recording. And wow at your sandbox1! That's gonna be a huge article. --Legolas (talk2me) 04:38, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
Yeah it can be renamed. And yeah, "Wannabe" surely received a lot of media attention becoming the group's first US number-one. That's why so much info is available on them. di you try the Billboard magazine's in Google books? I'm sure tons of info regarding the commercial aspects can come from them. By they way are you talking about User:CarpetCrawler? I don't think he's ever coming back. :( --Legolas (talk2me) 04:55, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
Oh yeah. Escape Artist did a faboulous job on "Christmas Tree (Lady Gaga song)". Its unprecedented. And which Wiki did you find CarpetCrawler. Tell me. I'm gonna smack his bottom so badly. Im very angry with him for abandoning me like this. --Legolas (talk2me) 05:14, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
Oh wow! Way to go detective Frcm! And now he's gonna get a piece of me! Anyways yeahh Sticky & Sweet Tour just passed GA. That's 31 MAdonna GAs. I wish you would also develop another of the Madonna articles soon. By the way, do you have Fred Bronson's Billboard Book of number 1 singles? --Legolas (talk2me) 05:33, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
Yeah I left him a scathing note. Serves him right for forgetting his friends. And I admit that I am very much impressed that new users are following the layout and developing GAs. The Miley Cyrus articles are particularly, followed by the Lily Allen and Britney Spears one's. Haha, my dear friend, it seems like we are leaving a legacy here on Wikipedia.
Hell yeah!! You do possess the book??? Can you please send me the scans of the Madonna number-one songs? I want "Like a Prayer", "Justify My Love", This Used to Be My Playground" and "Take a Bow". Can you send them to [email protected]? --Legolas (talk2me) 05:52, 17 February 2010 (UTC)
I really want those articles. Want, want, want, want, want! --Legolas (talk2me) 11:09, 17 February 2010 (UTC)

(Outdent)Oh wow. I haven't checked yet. I will check them today. A lot many thanks!! --Legolas (talk2me) 03:26, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

Hey yahoo is blocked at office. Hence can you send them zipped to [email protected]? --Legolas (talk2me) 04:23, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Let me know if you are sending now. I can check immediately. --Legolas (talk2me) 04:33, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Yeahhh I got them. Many, many thanks. I can proceed with the Madonna number-one singles Good topic now. Again, thank you Christopher. --Legolas (talk2me) 05:08, 18 February 2010 (UTC)
Lot many thanks. I couldnot have put it anything close to the content you added. --Legolas (talk2me) 08:02, 18 February 2010 (UTC)

A small help

I'm developing Madonna's debut album for GA here, but facing a huge problem. I can't seem to find references for the chart positions of teh European nations and WP:GOODCHARTS isn't helping either. Will you please help me with the chart section of the article in my sandbox please? You seem to find sources for the charts with such an unprecedented ease, please help me. Thanks in advance. --Legolas (talk2me) 11:22, 10 March 2010 (UTC)

just thought i'd let you know in case you hadn't noticed that the discussion has ended with the conclusion that two covers cannot be used. However the user Ryulong is proving problematic. He/she is now starting arguments and debates over which cover should be used and despite the 20+ examples i gave of when physical covers prevail over digital ones he/she still won't listen. Please can you keep an eye on the situation and also feel free to discuss. Lil-unique1 (talk) 21:02, 26 March 2010 (UTC)

Reviewer

Hello. Your account has been granted the "reviewer" userright, allowing you to to review other users' edits on certain flagged pages. Pending changes, also known as flagged protection, will be commencing a a two-month trial at approximately 23:00, 2010 June 15 (UTC).

Reviewers can review edits made by users who are not autoconfirmed to articles placed under flagged protection. Flagged protection is applied to only a small number of articles, similarly to how semi-protection is applied but in a more controlled way for the trial.

When reviewing, edits should be accepted if they are not obvious vandalism or BLP violations, and not clearly problematic in light of the reason given for protection (see Wikipedia:Reviewing process). More detailed documentation and guidelines can be found here.

If you do not want this userright, you may ask any administrator to remove it for you at any time. The Rambling Man (talk) 16:27, 15 June 2010 (UTC)

Who's That Girl

Hey, I was thinking, would you know from where I can find the Eurochart peak for Who's That Girl? Billboard doesnot seem to have the 1987 books in google. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:01, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Oh too bad. I think I have to go to library now and look through all the old, moth-eaten Billboard magazines! Blahhh. — Legolas (talk2me) 04:23, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Ohh, maybe I can be a little sneaky and have the title as "Charts around the world" and pages from 65-71, because the Eurocahrt will be within those pages! — Legolas (talk2me) 04:38, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
LOL. I already started work on the article in my sandbox3. Hope to end it by today. By the way, I was thinking how do you like the classic Shania Twain songs? — Legolas (talk2me) 04:48, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
I was thinking lets collaborate to make some of Shania's songs as GA, since she is the only diva left without any GA songs. (Oops I forgot Janet and Celine) Tee hee hee :D — Legolas (talk2me) 05:06, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
I don't really care for Crackney Boozeton that much either, nor for Celine. Janet I did try to find some info from Google books, but her songs are hardly represented in the books, barring Fred Bronson's book. Most of them were overshadowed by MJ obviously. Same for Mariah, could not find any well-to-do info. The diva wannabes will probably never have that much info written about them. Maybe in the Spanish territories and books for Estefan, but sadly I cannot read Spanish :( Hence Shania seems suiable if you take up a project. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:40, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Basically I want to finish Who's that Girl fast, including the movie and nominate it for GT, then move to Shania. With the marriage coming up fast, im not getting that much time at hand hence want to finsh one project at a time. "You're Still the One" needs mainly cleanups and scholarly analysis to be added. Most of the content is there. OMG she really did release TWELVE singles!! No wonder its the best selling female album of all time. — Legolas (talk2me) 05:58, 17 August 2010 (UTC)
Will do, but after the soundtrack, I have that terrible Who's That Girl movie to develop, that might take 2 days extra. I think you can go ahead with the Spice girls articles. Might develop them while you are still in the creative flow You know what I mean. — Legolas (talk2me) 06:13, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

No, read: Here. It tells you to assume good faith even if other edits do not, or their edits are not good faith. That's not even the point, it's putting caps it's unnecessary. Jayy008 (talk) 14:17, 24 August 2010 (UTC)

Traducción

Hola amigo.

  • Evan Sawdey from PopMatters felt that "The Fame Monster isn’t going to win Lady Gaga any new converts, but it does prove something to her millions of fans: that she’s not complacent with doing the same thing over again. She’s willing to try new things, branching out at a time when it feels like every lone pop diva is more than willing to compromise their artistic growth just for the sake of having a radio hit. [...] Gaga is allowed to make a few mistakes on her way towards pop nirvana—and judging what she’s aiming for with The Fame Monster, there’s a good chance she’s going to get there sooner than later."
  • Neil McCormick from The Daily Telegraph commented that the album has an "an irrepressible quality that is given full rein. [...] Although not as thematically integrated as the original Fame, Gaga’s vivacious energy, bold melodies and almost comically relentless sensationalism keeps things interesting."

  • Similarly, The Boston Globe critic Sarah Rodman commented that she draws "obvious inspirations from Madonna to Gwen Stefani... in [her] girlish but sturdy pipes and bubbly beats."
  • The Global Language Monitor named "Lady Gaga" as the Top Fashion Buzzword with her trademark "no pants" coming in at No. 3. (entiendo más o menos, pero se traduce mal igual)
  • "Whether it's a dress made of Muppets or strategically placed bubbles, Gaga's outré ensembles brought performance art into the mainstream."
Gracias! Nos vemos, --Trivia harrypotter (talk) 04:51, 27 August 2010 (UTC)
Hola amigo. Acá perdón por molestar de nuevo. Necesitaría que cuando tengas tiempo me ayudes a traducir estas frases:
  • Robert Copsey from Digital Spy commented that "The Remix feels like a fairly natural progression, as opposed to the cynical label cash-in often associated with this sort of release. What's more, it features input from a tasty mix of world-class knob-twiddlers and trendy up-and-comers, both of whom are as vital to keeping the singer's music fresh as her Haus Of GaGa designers are to her image."
  • Stephen Thomas Erlewine from Allmusic gave the album three out of five stars and commented: "At 17 tracks it borders on overkill, but that’s fitting for Gaga, who has made excessiveness her raison d’être, and some of the included remixes are quite good, particularly when they come from either veterans of this game (Pet Shop Boys) or something approaching the latest fashion (Space Cowboy). That this is not an essential addition to Gaga’s canon goes without saying [...] but there’s glitz and glamour to enjoy here."
  • Mark Beech from Bloomberg Television said that "The Madonna for our times, Lady Gaga, has wheeled out another version of her debut album.... The familiar tracks, now in danger of being played to death, are given a new sheen by the Pet Shop Boys and sometime Madonna producer Stuart Price."

  • Chuck Campbell from the California Chronicle felt that the "trick for the producers behind The Remix, was for them to preserve the integrity of her nuances while still bringing something new to her music."[6] Stuart Price remixed "Paparazzi" into an electronic version, changing the original mid-tempo composition of the song. New vocals were added on top of the song, giving it a jungle-like vibe, according to nicki Escuerdo from Phoenix New Times. A computerised like chanting of the "mum-mum-mum-mah" hook of "Poker Face" is present in the "LLG vs GLG Radio Mix" of the song. According to Campbell, The Monarchy Stylites remix of "Dance in the Dark", "pumps extra oomph" into the song. Richard Vission's remix of "Just Dance" introduces an elastic rhythm in the song, while FrankMusik changed the soft composition of "Eh, Eh (Nothing Else I Can Say)" to a more upbeat one, also manipulating Gaga's vocals in the process. Campbell also added that the Passion Pit remix of "Telephone" felt like a "theatrical set up for a song that feels like it's going somewhere, but never does." It consists of synths with a thumping beat accompanying the remix. Sound of Arrows remixed "Alejandro", changing the dark nature of its music into a bright, summery jam. "Bad Romance" was remixed by Starsmith, making it a complete dance track.] Escuerdo felt that the remix of "LoveGame" featuring Manson, changed the original composition, "giving the originally innocent and fun song an almost demonic quality, and it's so awesome to hear the goth rocker paired with a pop star."

Hola! ¿Cómo va? Espero que bien. Quería saber si me podes ayudar nuevamente con una traducción si es que tenes tiempo libre... acá va:

  • Matthew Chisling of Allmusic gave a negative review of the song saying "The Fame has it's [sic] 'ballad,' however the breezy 'Eh, Eh' doesn't hold water on this album; rather, it feels dry and lifeless, something which holds this album back"
  • Evan Sawdey of PopMatters said that the song is the most embarrassing moment of the album and as a result makes the album come to an intermediate halt thus ruining the "bad-girl party atmosphere".
  • Matthew Chisling of Allmusic gave a negative review of the song saying "The Fame has it's [sic] 'ballad,' however the breezy 'Eh, Eh' doesn't hold water on this album; rather, it feels dry and lifeless, something which holds this album back

Dance in the Dark

¡Hola amigo! Saludos, --Trivia harrypotter (talk) 02:25, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

Who Do You Think You Are

Hello Frcm, Just to let you know I will be doing the review for the article above. I will begin in due course and then inform you here, of when I'm comeplete. A quick glance tells me the article will definately pass however it will require some minor changes, of which I will detail at the review page. I always provide examples of what changes should be made and where possible I provide links to helpful pages/policies. If you have any questions please feel free to ask. I look forward to reading the article in more depth. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 21:40, 15 September 2010 (UTC)

Hi Frcm, just to let you know I've done the first part of the review. There are no issues with the infobox but those in the introduction need to be fixed, then I'll continue the review of the rest of the article. =) -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 22:24, 15 September 2010 (UTC)
Hi there, I've had a look at other GA articles and I agreed with you're comments. I've finished the review there are some small things which need addressing in the rest of the article. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 14:13, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
Again I've looked at other GAs and examples and modified my comments. A lot of things have now been dealt with, just a few reamin. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 23:57, 16 September 2010 (UTC)
Congratulations, I've awarded the article GA status!. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 14:23, 18 September 2010 (UTC)
No problem, I noticed that those weren't added but I know you're a dedicated editor and you would get round to adding them so I didnt see it as an issue in holding back the nomination as for everything else it passed. If you nominate any other Spice Girl songs I suggest using this one as the template for them and you'll probably do quite well. Also thank you for taking the the feedback constructively. It was a pleasure to review this article. -- Lil_℧niquℇ №1 | talk2me 18:22, 18 September 2010 (UTC)

Traducción

Hola amigo! Si no es mucha molestia, me gustaría, si puedes, que me ayudes con estas traducciones del artículo de "Bad Romance":

  • Referring to her emerging popularity, Jon Dolan from Rolling Stone said that "'Bad Romance' makes [Gaga's] name a Teutonic chant".
  • Christopher John Farley from The Wall Street Journal praised the catchiness of the hook of "Bad Romance", and Michael Hubbard from MusicOMH felt that the chorus of the song is Gaga's best yet.
  • Likewise, Edna Gundersen of USA Today, "Synth-powered 'Bad Romance' is a ferocious club thumper with a sordid underbelly".
  • Monica Herrera from Billboard stated that "Bad Romance" was not as catchy as Gaga's previous songs, but it had "wicked" sex appeal.
  • Daniel Kreps from Rolling Stone, while writing about the song's initial leak, felt that the song was comparable to "Poker Face" and was not on par with her other singles.

Hi there. You reverted my edit where I implemented the {{cite gold platin}} template, and I wanted to know what you think is wrong with it. The new template enables citing by artist, title and type (I demonstrated with the current edit, feel free to revert if you think there is a problem) and standardizes the use of this database all around the English Wikipedia. I have already implemented it in several hundred articles, and the response is usually favourite. But perhaps something is missing from the template? Your feedback is very welcome. --Muhandes (talk) 16:47, 6 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi, just to let you know that I've reviewed "Too Much" for GA and placed on hold with a few minor concerns. Cavie78 (talk) 01:01, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

Hi, are you able to comment about the remaining minor concern I have with the article? I would like to wrap up the review as soon as possible. Cavie78 (talk) 15:41, 11 November 2010 (UTC)

Not ridiculous at all

Everything must be sourced, and not to some "the CD itself is the source" hand-waving. Everything. Don't remove tags without actually repairing the problem noted by the tag. Music sellers generally have on-line tracklists that can be used.—Kww(talk) 20:41, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

The very existence of the CDs are sometimes in doubt. How do we know that there are five different physical singles released for "See You Again" at all? If you don't have a source to show that something even exists, you can't then use it to source more information. Too many of these articles get tracklists relating to dozens of unsourced remixes on dozens of untraceable releases. A tracklist needs to be sourced just as much as anything else.—Kww(talk) 21:28, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
If there is no source, the existence of those versions cannot be verified, and that's what is important. For purposes of Wikipedia, they do not exist.—Kww(talk) 22:21, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
The existence and details of the releases was challenged: that's what SunCreator did when he placed the tag. If you wish to retain the data, WP:BURDEN says it is your responsibility to provide sources to verify the data.—Kww(talk) 22:55, 7 November 2010 (UTC)

AN/I discussion of Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars and succession boxes

Hello. This message is being sent to inform you that there currently is a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. Thank you. 28bytes (talk) 19:50, 18 December 2010 (UTC)

Revert of change to Hungry Like the Wolf

I was surprised and confused by your revert here[1] to my edit of "Hungry Like the Wolf" in which I removed the succession boxes on the page. In the discussion in September on WT:CHARTS, you stated that you are "indifferent about the succession boxes, don't really care if they go away." But in your edit summary of the revert, you clearly aren't indifferent because you say that there is "Nothing wrong with this boxes". When you say consensus has not been reached, you can help reach that consensus by following WP:CONSENSUS#Process, which states "any edit that is not disputed or reverted by another editor can be assumed to have consensus." Your revert implies you are against, not indifferent to, their removal. Just wondering if you have changed your mind about them. Thanks. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 10:47, 19 December 2010 (UTC)

Yes I said I was indifferent towards them, but I also said that for me those see also lists of number one here or there were even worse speacially for the songs that were number one on a lot of countries. I was in favor of making them collapsible and reaching a compromise beetwen the two options, but you also opposed this and just keep removing the boxes and pointing to a discussion that never reached any kind of decision. For me is a lot more usefull to have two other songs that reached number one to the sides than the see also lists. Frcm1988 (talk) 19:12, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
Yeah, but this song was not number one in very many countries, and you said that "Im not against the lists at all, in fact I will oppose to erase them", and yet that's exactly what you did here. For my part, I can say I am indifferent about the lists themselves, especially when there is a chart section and categories for number ones for charts. Regardless of whether the succession boxes are collapsible, they are rarely accurate, never sourced and often incomplete. Big hits songs like "Billy Jean" Thriller and "Hey Ya!" don't have succession boxes (and I had nothing to do with removing them), and how useful is succession if they don't run across songs for an entire chart? If you look at all the songs that reached number one on the Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart, there is absolutely no consistency in the use of succession boxes, thus no consensus either way. Yet, if someone starts adding them, it's ok, but if I try to remove them, I can't because there's no consensus. And judging by the year-long discussion on this, for which after a number of complaints about them, I was able to take it further than it ever got, with most editors who participated favoring their removal, consensus is never going to be reached. --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 20:52, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
No the user that commented after me said: "The issue with lists is an interim thing as there is also an argument for the mass deletion on these 'lists' under WP:INDISCRIMINATE and copyright issues but that's for another day and another post." to which I replied that I was against erasing them (the pages that have the lists) and clarified that " Im not against the lists at all, in fact I will oppose to erase them. Im against the replacing of the succession boxes for "See Also" sections with more than 20 lists, one for every single chart that it topped". The "Billie Jean" article have four succession boxes, and I didn't say that you cant remove them, in fact I am not doing a massive removal of the see also sections like you are doing, I also can start re-adding them and point to that discussion where no consensus was reached but Im not gonna do that. Im just reverting an article, which had the boxes before, no one complained about them, even when I took to its GA nomination. And yes we probably are never going to reach a consensus, a compromise was possible, but you were one that opposed that as well. Frcm1988 (talk) 21:22, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
I am arguing for consistency and accuracy, and the succession boxes do not provide either. The value of the succession boxes are negated if "Hungry Like the Wolf" has it and "You Got Lucky" doesn't. And what does "You Got Lucky" have to do with "Hungry Like the Wolf", anyway? Nothing. I found the compromise unacceptable. I had also offered up a compromise earlier, but no one is willing to follow through on implementing and there are just too many people who'd rather just see them gone. I have come to understand their reasons and now agree with them. The only reason nothing has been done is because no one is willing to take charge because of the size of the task. (I had struck out "Billy Jean" before your reply, because I remembered it was Thriller that doesn't have them.) --Starcheerspeaksnewslostwars (talk) 22:06, 19 December 2010 (UTC)
