MOTDs (This space for rent)
You may have noticed over the past few days that the MOTD that you link to on your user page has simply displayed a red link. This is due to the fact that not enough people are reviewing pending MOTDs here. Please help us keep the MOTD template alive and simply go and review a few of the MOTDs in the list. That way we can have a real MOTD in the future rather than re-using (This space for rent). Any help would be appreciated! –pjoef (talk • contribs) 16:09, 6 March 2012 (UTC)
March 2012 MOTD's award for helping the project in a difficult time
The MOTD Barnstar | ||
The MOTD Barnstar is awarded to AndieM13 for her invaluable contribution to our project, which was experiencing a period of extreme scarcity. Thank you from Motto of the day. –pjoef (talk • contribs) 10:59, 13 March 2012 (UTC) |
Additional note: Hoping that you feel comfortable with us, we hope and desire that you will want to continue contributing to our/your project. I personally think that if many of us contribute, then about ten minutes per week, by reviewing the existing nominations, and eventually adding new nominations, should be more than enough to get the project going! Once again, thank you from your Motto of the day. –pjoef (talk • contribs) 10:59, 13 March 2012 (UTC)

Talkback
I already had Twinkle installed, but I'm not sure exactly what I can do with it. Oddly enough, I don't remember seeing the Talkback button before :/
- A wise man once said, if one can utilize Twinkle, one can rule the world. When you are reading an article, and you feel it doesn't look like a complete Wikipedia article, you can use it to tag the page with maintenance tag; why don't you try that with Special:NewPages, a lot of these pages need maintenance tags. If you have already done that, then can you tell me what you want to learn? I can point you in the right direction (Wikipedia is pretty vast). Peace x Kinkreet~♥moshi moshi♥~ 16:36, 19 March 2012 (UTC)
MfD nomination of User:AndieM13/status
User:AndieM13/status, a page you substantially contributed to, has been nominated for deletion. Your opinions on the matter are welcome; please participate in the discussion by adding your comments at Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:AndieM13/status and please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~). You are free to edit the content of User:AndieM13/status during the discussion but should not remove the miscellany for deletion template from the top of the page; such a removal will not end the deletion discussion. Your recent edits
Hello. In case you didn't know, when you add content to talk pages and Wikipedia pages that have open discussion, you should sign your posts by typing four tildes ( ~~~~ ) at the end of your comment. You could also click on the signature button or located above the edit window. This will automatically insert a signature with your username or IP address and the time you posted the comment. This information is useful because other editors will be able to tell who said what, and when they said it. Thank you. --SineBot (talk) 08:53, 27 March 2012 (UTC)

Rollback
Hello, this is just to let you know that I've granted you Rollback rights. Please also read the additional note I left at Wikipedia:Requests for permissions/Rollback#User:AndieM. Just remember:
- Rollback gives you access to certain scripts, including Huggle and Igloo, some of which can be very powerful, so exercise caution
- Rollback is only for blatant vandalism
- Having Rollback rights does not give you any special status or authority
- Misuse of Rollback can lead to its removal by any administrator
- Please read Help:Reverting and Wikipedia:Rollback feature to get to know the workings of the feature
- You can test Rollback at Wikipedia:New admin school/Rollback
- You may wish to display the {{User wikipedia/rollback}} userbox and/or the {{Rollback}} top icon on your user page
- If you have any questions, please do let me know.

Speedy deletion declined: User:Jweston1
Hello AndieM, and thanks for patrolling new pages! I am just letting you know that I declined the speedy deletion of User:Jweston1, a page you tagged for speedy deletion, because of the following concern: Clearly not vandalism, this is a user making test edits on their own userpage. You may wish to review the Criteria for Speedy Deletion before tagging further pages. Thank you. -- Lear's Fool 13:51, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- That's all right. Sorry for the trouble. AndieM (Am I behaving?) 14:33, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- No worries. It's good to see new editors trying their hand at new-page patrolling, just make sure you take your time while you're learning. Please feel free to hit me up on my talkpage if you have any questions whatsoever. -- Lear's Fool 14:43, 28 March 2012 (UTC)

speedy deletion
Hello, I tagged Gireesh chemrakadan for speedy deletion A7 because the user who created is also by the name User:Gireesh chemrakadan and he has also removed your tag. By the way sorry for any trouble. Happy editing. Solomon7968 (talk) 06:38, 29 March 2012 (UTC)
- It's all right. I guess it just meets both criteria then. The user contested the deletion because he didn't understand the criteria and I left him a note. AndieM (Am I behaving?) 06:40, 29 March 2012 (UTC)

The Costa Report
Hi Andie, Thank you for your help with moving user: The Costa Report to The Costa Report (an article). I have created it as an article but now I don't know how to get rid of the user one. I chose The Costa Report as a user name because I thought I was naming the page. I would be happy to change that too but I don't know how. Suggestions? Thanks again! Speedy deletion declined
Hi AndieM. Thank you for your work on patrolling new pages and tagging for speedy deletion. I'm just letting you know that I declined your deletion request for Skyflite london, a page that you tagged for speedy deletion, under criterion A3 because the criterion you used or the reason you gave does not cover this kind of page. because author blanked the page, it qualifies for G2 Please take a moment to look at the suggested tasks for patrollers and review the criteria for speedy deletion. Particularly, the section covering non-criteria. Such pages are best tagged with proposed deletion, proposed deletion for biographies of living persons, or sent to the appropriate deletion discussion. Yasht101 11:37, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- I was unaware it had been blanked. Thank you! AndieM (Am I behaving?) 11:39, 14 April 2012 (UTC)
- Ah..Its okay, it happens to me also many times. Please take care of one thing before tagging pages; View the history, because, there might also be a vandal work by someone which makes the article qualify for CSD or PROD or AfD though in reality it isn't. It happens rarely so no need for all articles, but in case of a article qualifying for A1 or A3, always do it. I saw your edits. They are really good, and yes, you are behaving well. Happy patrolling! Yasht101 11:45, 14 April 2012 (UTC)

Talk page archiving
Hi Andie. I notice that you've just manually archived your talkpage (after the Downside issue, your pages show up on my watchlist). I don't know if you're aware, but there are automated systems that can do this rather onerous task for you - I use MiszaBot, which works very well. It's pretty straightforward to use; just add the following code:
{{User:MiszaBot/config | algo = old(7d) | archive = User talk:AndieM/Archives/%(year)d/%(monthname)s }} {{Usertalkconcise}} {{archives}}
to the top of your userpage and the bot will do the rest. Instructions on how to change the parameters to suit your personal preferences are here (the setup above will archive all threads older than one week into datestamped archives). There's no need to do this if you don't want to - nothing wrong with manual archiving - but I thought you might like to know that the option's there. Yunshui 雲水 13:22, 19 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've set it up. Thank you! AndieM (Am I behaving?) 13:35, 19 April 2012 (UTC)

- That is actually quite interesting :) However, there really is no need to be so formal; I'm just Andie to you. Happy editing to you too! AndieM (Am I behaving?) 16:57, 20 April 2012 (UTC)
- I've had a bit of a problem being informal at times. Don't ask why. It's possibly because I've dealt with so many IPs who assume that they're right. : ). Chhers, --Rsrikanth05 (talk) 08:16, 24 April 2012 (UTC)

From the Editor
This month marks the observation of Pentecost, one of the most important feast of the Christian liturgical year. It is our hope here that all of you, regardless of your religious affiliation (if any), find that the holiday, and its accompanying activities, an enjoyable and beneficial experience. We also hope that this "Birthday of the Church" is one which gives you the same joy as the birthday of yourself or your loved ones.
Ichthus is the successor to the long running WikiProject Christianity newsletter, run under the WikiProject Christianity’s Outreach department. As such, you will continue to see information about our latest featured and good articles, DYKs, as well as new members who have joined our project. You might also see links to Christianity related news from the mainstream media!
With that, I wish you all happy reading!

Help Bring Wikipe-tan "into the fold"
As many of you may know, our unofficial mascot, dear Wikipe-tan, hasn't yet indicated any particular beliefs. However, yes, as we all know, ahem, some people might object to our beloved mascot running around in a French maid outfit. People do talk, you know. ;) If anyone might be able to develop an image of the dear lady in a image more, well, "Christian," I would like to see perhaps a vote for next month as to which, if any, image of the dear girl we might make our own unofficial mascot. Please post your images here.

Spotlight on the Outreach department
Ichthus will spotlight a different subproject or workgroup of WikiProject Christianity. This edition will spotlight on our vital Outreach department. This comparatively small, but vital, project unit is dedicated to welcoming new editors to Wikipedia and the Christianity related content, and to providing information to the various project members, in forms like this newsletter.
The scope of articles with which this group deals is truly enormous, and, given the wide variety of material with which we deal, we would very much welcome the input of more individuals, particularly individuals who are particularly knowledgeable of the less well-known and less frequently monitored articles related to Christianity.
Speaking personally, I would be very, very gratified if we were to have this become a very, very large and active unit, with members from the broad spectrum of Christian beliefs, practices, and groups. The broader the spectrum and areas of expertise of members we have, the better we will be able to help manage the content. Please consider whether you believe you might be able to contribute in this vital area.

I believe
... in the statements contained in the Nicene Creed. I believe that the Bible is one of the two defining bases for belief. The other is the Sacred tradition, which provides us with means of interpreting the Scriptures, as well as some teachings which have been handed on by God outside of the scriptures. I believe that the Magisterium has been empowered to fill this interpretative function. I believe that clerical celibacy is a rule that should generally be followed. I am a member of the Catholic Church.

Membership report
The parent Christianity WikiProject currently has 336 active members. We would like to welcome User:Emilymadcat, User:Toa Nidhiki05, User:DonutGuy, and User:RCNesland, Thank you all for your interest in this effort. If any members, new or not, wish any assistance, they should feel free to leave a message at the Christianity noticeboard or with me or other individual editors to request it.
From the Editor
Ichthus is one of the ways that the WikiProject Christianity’s Outreach department helps update our members. We have recently added some new sections to the newsletter. Please let us know what you think of the new departments, and if there are any other suggestions for departments you would like to see. And if you have anything you would personally like to add, by all means let us know. The talk page of the current issue is probably the best place to post such comments.
With that, I wish you all happy reading!
P.S. Please click here to add the new Christianity noticeboard to your watchlist to follow the latest discussions relevant to WikiProject Christianity and subprojects.

Vote for the project mascot
We had last month asked our members to help "bring into the fold" Wikipe-tan as the project's mascot. Voting will take place this month for which image we should adopt at Wikipedia:WikiProject Christianity/Outreach/Wikipe-tan. Please take a moment to review the images and vote for whichever is your favorite, or, if you so prefer, suggest an additional one.

I believe
... in the tradition of Thomas the Apostle, Mar Addai, and Saint Bartholomew. I believe that Jesus had two essences (or natures), human and divine, unmingled, that are everlastingly united in one personality. I am a member of the Assyrian Church of the East.

Edit request
Hey Float. I noticed you've been helping clear up some edit requests and I just thought I'd remind you to change the answered parameter to yes. Otherwise the request still appears in the category. Thanks! Ryan Vesey Review me! 14:07, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
- I do that most times but I do occasionally forget. Will try to remember from now on. Floating Boat (the user formerly known as AndieM) 14:09, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
- Thanks, on another note, if there's a request without the answered parameter in the template, it is easier to use ans= Ryan Vesey Review me! 14:12, 19 July 2012 (UTC)
