Speedy deletion nomination of Mahazz

[edit]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Mahazz requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a very short article providing little or no context to the reader. Please see Wikipedia:Stub for our minimum information standards for short articles. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. -- Bk314159 (Talk to me and find out what I've done) 17:18, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Given name

[edit]

Hello Ffion9. I cam here because you edited the article about the island of Lewis by adding a note at the top about the given name "Lewis". If you look at the top of the article you will see that it already links to Lewis (disambiguation), which lists all the other relevant uses. I have reverted your edit - and I notice that you have made several more similar ones. Please stop - this is very unhelpful. Thanks, Ben MacDui 17:26, 12 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Invitation to wikiFeed

[edit]

Hello Ffion9,

I'm part of a team that is researching ways to help Wikipedia editors find interesting content to contribute to Wikipedia. More specifically, we are investigating whether content from news sources can be used to enhance Wikipedia editing. We have created a tool, called wikiFeed, that allows you to specify Twitter and/or RSS feeds from news sources that are interesting to you. wikiFeed then helps you make connections between those feeds and Wikipedia articles. We believe that using this tool may be a lot of fun, and may help you come up with some ideas on how to contribute to Wikipedia in ways that interest you. Please participate! To do so, complete this survey and follow this link to our website. Once you're there, click the "create an account" link to get started.

For more information about wikiFeed, visit our project page. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask via my talk page, or by email at [email protected]. We appreciate your time and hope you enjoy playing with wikiFeed!

Thanks! Jeremey Bentham (talk) 19:52, 24 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, Ffion9. Your recent addition to Malory Towers added a large number of internal links to common English words not directly related to the books, including links to disambiguation pages and to anthroponymy pages that do not mention the characters from these books. This type of over-linking makes it difficult for readers to find pages that are relevant to the topic they are interested in. See Wikipedia:Manual of Style/Linking for advice on linking. Thanks, and happy editing. Cnilep (talk) 11:12, 7 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I also removed several links from The Naughtiest Girl, Love Lessons (novel), and Clean Break (novel). Cnilep (talk) 11:25, 7 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello again, Ffion9. I see that you're still adding links to disambiguation pages (as noted by DPLbot, above) and links to common English words. Such links are not helpful to most encyclopedia readers. Your efforts to improve Wikipedia are appreciated, but I hope you will spend your time making more useful edits. I really recommend that you read the guide to linking I mentioned above. It can also be helpful to use the 'Show preview' button and then double-check your links before saving the page. Thanks again, Cnilep (talk) 00:28, 8 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. In your recent edit to Victorious, you added links to an article which did not add content or meaning, or repeated the same link several times throughout the article. Please see Wikipedia's guideline on links to avoid overlinking. Thank you. As you have been told before. Please don't continue to do this. Geraldo Perez (talk) 21:45, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Happysailor. I noticed that you made an edit to a biography of a living person, Chloë Grace Moretz, but that you didn’t support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks, - Happysailor (Talk) 13:09, 4 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm BracketBot. I have automatically detected that your edit to Andy Symons may have broken the syntax by modifying 1 "()"s and 1 "<>"s likely mistaking one for another. If you have, don't worry: just edit the page again to fix it. If I misunderstood what happened, or if you have any questions, you can leave a message on my operator's talk page.

List of unpaired brackets remaining on the page:
 • Andy Symons (born 29 June 1991, Harlow)) is an English rugby union player for Worcester Warriors. He previously played
 • News | title=Worcester Warriors bolster midfield with Andy Symons signing | date=6 November 2013}}</

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
