Big Brother (UK series 7)[edit]

Hey there. I'm leaving you this message as you were a part of making the article Big Brother (UK series 7) and I've had the crazy idea of trying to get it to featured status, or at least a good article. I've made a peer review page, and comments there for improving would be greatly appreciated. Also, if you see I have left anyone out could you message them as well? Thanks. --Alex (Talk) 11:29, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Well, good luck. — FireFox (talk) 16:18, 06 October 2006

Bots approval-interwiki[edit]

Could you add link to new Polish site: pl:Wikipedia:Prośby o flagę bota? My bot added, but it was incorrect - I see that interwiki are probably in some scheme which is included and I don't want search it. Best regards, Bocianski 12:36, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Interwiki links are transcluded from Wikipedia:Bots/Requests for approval/Header. Misza13 12:48, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

User page[edit]

I was just looking at your userpage and was wondering: you say you are doing both A level ICT and A level Computing. What's the difference between the two? Laïka 18:16, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Computing involves things like programming, and the technical side of computers e.g. how different pieces of hardware work, and creating an application using programming language. ICT is more application/office type things, e.g designing websites, spreadsheets and databases. --Alex (Talk) 18:24, 1 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

See Isaac Newton--since according to User talk:204.185.224.230, you gave the address a final warning some time ago, I thought you might want to take action. Nareek 18:21, 4 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

WikiProject Disambiguation Talk Request[edit]

This is a form message being sent to all WikiProject Disambiguation participants. I recently left a proposed banner idea on the WikiProject Disambiguation talk page and I would appreciate any input you could provide. Before it can be approved or denied, I would prefer a lot of feedback from multiple participants in the project. So if you have the time please join in the discussion to help improve the WikiProject. Keep up the good work in link repair and thanks for your time. Nehrams2020 21:25, 9 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi FireFox,

I see looking at the WikiProject user warnings page, that you are a participant in this project. I have recently started an undertaking to harmonise all user page warnings and templates. For this I would like your assistance. I have listed a number of ideas on the project template page here as a first draft. I fully appreciate that as with most editors and admins, that you are fairly busy. Therefore I am not looking for anyone to carry out the actual work, I am willing to do that myself, with help from a number of other RC Patrollers who have come forward. But what I am looking for is your invaluable input, on the draft ideas and also to suggest other ways you believe we may improve the templates. I do however require the services of a couple of administrators to put into effect some of the new templates, as they are currently protected. Please take 5 mins to look through the new templates page, and both the project and templates talk pages and leave any ideas or suggestions that you may have. Best regards Khukri (talk . contribs) 09:49, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A very Californian RfA thanks from Luna Santin[edit]

Thanks for your support in my not-so-recent RfA, which succeeded with a final tally of (97/4/4)! I've never been able to accept compliments gracefully, and the heavy support from this outstanding community left me at a complete loss for words -- so, a very belated thank you for all of your kind words.

I have done and will continue to do the utmost to serve the community in this new capacity, wherever it may take me, and to set an example others might wish to follow in. With a little luck and a lot of advice, this may be enough. Maybe someday the enwiki admins of the future will look back and say, "Yeah, that guy was an admin." Hopefully then they don't start talking about the explosive ArbComm case I got tied into and oh what a drama that was, but we'll see, won't we?

Surely some of you have seen me in action by now; with that in mind, I openly invite and welcome any feedback here or here -- help me become the best editor and sysop I can be.

Again, thank you. –Luna Santin
Nice to see you're still active. :) Haven't seen you on IRC as much, though maybe you've cleverly changed nicks. Luna Santin 19:50, 24 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just Stating the Obvious[edit]

"This article has been removed due to its dullness. We apologize for our lack of creativity." is 100% accurate. I apologize for not opposing the boring piece before it was chosen, as do many others. 67.62.134.210 16:13, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Co-nomination for Moe Epsilon[edit]

Hi, FireFox, seeing that you are a good friend of his, I would like you to co-nominate him for admin HERE! It's sort of like a mass co-nomination, almost like a petition to let Moe-Epsilon become admin, so even just your bare signature would be okay. ¿¡Exir Kamalabadi?!Join Esperanza! 23:13, 25 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Requesting comments for Lost episodes[edit]

Requesting comments for Wikipedia talk:WikiProject Lost/Episode guidelines#Name suffix - a debate over the use of disambiguation titles for episode articles of a TV show when no disambiguation is needed. Any input would be appreciated. Thanks. -- Ned Scott 20:43, 29 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Computing[edit]

Just wondering, what programming language are you learning in AS Computing? I'm learning VB .NET, but I can't say I'm too happy about it... Archer7 13:01, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pascal :) It's quite easy actually, or at least I'm finding it easy. — FireFox (talk) 17:54, 30 October 2006
Damn! I've done VB for two years as a hobby, yet I'm forced to re-learn! I'd love Pascal... works on Linux too I think... Archer7 18:28, 30 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
