Hi Ezlev, I want to create an article about an American Entrepreneur and Chemist Stefan Patine. About a month ago I started a draft in my sandbox which I now can't find. I have a version on my computer though so not a problem. I'm wondering though whether I can actually creat drafts and save them in Wikipedia without publishing them or sending them for an editor's review?

Seamus Costello, anything saved into Wikipedia's servers is published. That said, most drafts go unseen until they're submitted for review – so while they're technically public, they're a great way to quietly work on an article until it's ready. Hi Seamus Costello! I've gone ahead and moved your draft to Draft:Stefan Pastine, and added a template at the top with some info that might be useful. Before submitting it for review, I recommend you look at WP:NOTABILITY – and remove the external links from the text of the article. — ezlev (user/tlk/ctrbs) 18:55, 19 September 2023 (UTC)
Thanks, Ezlev. The article is not about me or my employer. I do Know Stefan but it was my suggestion that he should have a wiki page as I regard his scientific contributions as important.
Is removing external links recommended? They track to the the need for external validation and notability...

Seamus Costello, it's necessary to remove external links from the body, though a small section at the end might be appropriate. See WP:EL for more information on that. Instead, we use inline citations to support information. These are also necessary – knowing that something is true isn't enough here, and it's important to use citations to support all the information in the article. Women in Green GA Editathon October 2023 - Around the World in 31 Days

WikiProject Women in Green is holding a month-long Good Article Edit-a-thon event in October 2023!

Running from October 1 to 31, 2023, WikiProject Women in Green (WiG) is hosting a Good Article (GA) edit-a-thon event with the theme Around the World in 31 Days! All experience levels welcome. Never worked on a GA project before? We'll teach you how to get started. Or maybe you're an old hand at GAs – we'd love to have you involved! Participants are invited to work on nominating and/or reviewing GA submissions related to women and women's works (e.g., books, films) during the event period. We hope to collectively cover article subjects from at least 31 countries (or broader international articles) by month's end. GA resources and one-on-one support will be provided by experienced GA editors, and participants will have the opportunity to earn a special WiG barnstar for their efforts.

We hope to see you there!

I would like to make some editorial contributions so I created an account.

Maybe you know how to select topics on my field of experience/ knowledge?

I am a master of law in Dutch health law. Secondly I lived in a former Dutch colony (Suriname). I do know some of its history, also regarding law. I live in the Netherlands near the city of Utrecht.
