License tagging for Image:4915ahj.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:4915ahj.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 04:06, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Write a novel[edit]

Write a novel about your life. Do not post your autobiography on Wikipedia. --Ineffable3000 20:58, 11 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This is twice this has been created...[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia! We welcome your help to create new content, but your recent additions (such as Rodolfo San Juan) are considered nonsense. Please refrain from creating nonsense articles. If you want to test things out, edit the sandbox instead. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia. MSJapan 04:11, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I reviewed the deleted article and agree with . While I am not sure that it's nonsense it looks to me as if the person you are writing about (yourself?) in Rodolfo San Juan is not notable as defined by Wikipedia. Please take a few minutes to read over Wikipedia:Notability, Wikipedia:Notability (music) and Wikipedia:Notability (people). Those pages will give you some idea as to what is acceptable or not. Also we have Wikipedia:Civility and Wikipedia:No personal attacks which you need to read. I don't know what the IP did but this is not acceptable. Nor are your remarks to MSJapan and Ineffable3000. Anymore of that and you will be blocked. Also attempting to reposted the article will just result in it being deleted and you will end up getting blocked. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 06:34, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Wikipedia is an Encyclopedia and the content must be encyclopedic. You need sources, not blogs, myspace or your own website type of things, that indicate why and how your cousin is notable. Has he been written up in a major newspaper or something like that? CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 20:18, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:LoveStonedSingleCover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LoveStonedSingleCover.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided source information for them as well.

Duplicate images uploaded[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Until The End of Time Single-Cover.jpg. A machine-controlled robot account noticed that you also uploaded the same image under the name Image:Until The End of Time SingleCover.jpg. The copy called Image:Until The End of Time SingleCover.jpg has been marked for speedy deletion since it is redundant. If this sounds okay to you, there is no need for you to take any action.

This is an automated message- you have not upset or annoyed anyone, and you do not need to respond. In the future, you may save yourself some confusion if you supply a meaningful file name and refer to 'my contributions' to remind yourself exactly which name you chose (file names are case sensitive, including the extension) so that you won't lose track of your uploads. For tips on good file naming, see Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions about this notice, or feel that the deletion is inappropriate, please contact User:Staecker, who operates the robot account. Staeckerbot 00:00, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free image (Image:SummerLove SingleCover.jpg)[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:SummerLove SingleCover.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BetacommandBot 20:08, 31 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Capitalization & Timbaland "Stronger" production[edit]

You do not capitalize hip hop or digital download because they are proper nouns. See the articles for yourself for confirmation. As for Timbaland's "production" on "Stronger", this has not been officially confirmed, only rumored so please do not add it until a materialized source surfaces (i.e. Album credits from actual booklet, reputable news source etc...) otherwise you will be reported for repeated vandalism. --Ayoleftyz 04:52, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm glad you have a source. I also have the album version of the track, you just need to understand the source needs to be referenced on the page. I will add to each specific page, thanks for the source. --Ayoleftyz 05:08, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Re:Timbaland[edit]

You did not provide a source for the Timbaland credit. If you click on digital download, you'll see that it is lowercase. "Digital Download" is not a proper noun. Just64helpin 10:29, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, apparently this has been addressed. Just64helpin 10:31, 31 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:SummerLove Single-Cover.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:SummerLove Single-Cover.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 06:36, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image source problem with Image:SummerLove Single-Cover.jpg[edit]

Image Copyright problem
Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:SummerLove Single-Cover.jpg. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

As well as adding the source, please add a proper copyright licensing tag if the file doesn't have one already. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 06:37, 9 October 2007 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BritandBeyonce (talkcontribs) 06:37, 9 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Image copyright problem with Image:LSITSK video.JPG[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:LSITSK video.JPG. You've indicated that the image is being used under a claim of fair use, but you have not provided an adequate explanation for why it meets Wikipedia's requirements for such images. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's description page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.
