Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited List of Disney Channel series, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jessie. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

Your recent editing history shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. ~ Rob13Talk 01:40, 21 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Episode numbers on Steven Universe

[edit]

Do you think we should discuss it here instead of constantly reverting each other's edits? We both risk getting blocked for a long time.

Okay, the Crewniverse has stated numerous times that the shorts DO count as an episode. It may not have been the original plan while making the show, but it became the plan. The biggest example that proves this is "Bismuth" as many people from the Crewniverse have confirmed that this episode is the 99th and 100th episodes of the show. This includes creator Rebecca Sugar herself: [2][3][4]

Minecraft69 (talk) 18:35, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, remember to use the four ~s to sign your name, otherwise I don't get notified that you have sent this message. I only just now realised I had this message.

I get that Bismuth was advertised as the 100th episode of Steven Universe. Other shows (such as Adventure Time) have shorts, and they have not been counted as an episode. My view is that they are a production code. Season 2 shorts make up 1031-058. Now, this makes the shorts technically episode 58, not episode 79, if we really are going to count the shorts as an episode.

Steven Universe Wikia actually does not count the shorts as an episode. Their order is "my version" of the Wikia page. And honestly, I prefer that version because it's more natural. 78 is followed by 79, not 80. It's also much less confusing that way. The jump from 78 to 80 is extremely jarring to me, and I'm sure it is for a few others as well. This is why I push the "other version", but also, because other shows like Adventure Time and Gravity Falls work this way too, where the shorts don't count as episode numbers, but rather production codes.

And then this leaves the question, where the heck do the season 4 shorts go?!

Minecraft69 (talk) 22:00, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, I guess for now the best thing to do is to see what happens. As you probably know the second set of shorts were recently released and we don't know if they will be considered an official episode. What I'm trying to say is, I'll revert the Wiki to the Steven Universe Wikia version. You are right when saying that it is more natural. Glad we talked this out, and if something else comes up regarding this issue, I'll be sure to talk to you.

~s Evschweik

Issues like this are always best worked out by talking things through. I'm glad we can finally put this to an end after 2 months (!). Edit wars are a waste of time. I apologise for wasting so much of your time by dabbling in them. We should have done this to begin with instead of almost getting ourselves blocked and wasting precious time in our lives :)

Do you think we should still leave a notation that the shorts count as a production code 1031-058?

EDIT: Also, I think the last 2 months have shown that we are both very strong-willed individuals amirite? XD

Thanks for talking,

Minecraft69 (talk) 22:28, 16 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Haha, no problem at all. We definitely should have talked this out from the start and we definitely are both strong-willed individuals. As for the production code, I think the notation is a good thing to have.

Train (band)

[edit]

Please stop changing the title back to the improper A Girl, A Bottle, A Boat. This directly goes against a Wikipedia policy, MOS:CAPS, that says besides the first letter, prepositions in proper nouns are not to be capitalised in titles. All other editors will come along and correct this title if you keep attempting to change it back, so there is no point in trying to fight about it, especially when your edits run counter to a policy. ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Evschweik. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

Talkback substitute (and apology)

Hi, Evschweik! I just wanted to let you know that you have a new message here. I also wanted to apologize for the discussion starter being broken up into three edits, and for my clumsy attempt to let you know when I had finished composing the discussion starter. If you have any questions about this, please let me know. Thanks! Noah Kastin (talk) 08:06, 5 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
