Redirect
[edit]I have changed the redirect for "Company" back to "Company (law)" and put a link to the disambiguation page at the top of "Company (law)". That is how it was previously and I think that is the sensible approach. Wikipedia doesn't keep stats, but it seems to me highly likely that 99% of the hits for company will be for the legal entity as opposed to the military term or a number of obscure films or books. Happy to hear other points of view, but that seems to me to be the most sensible approach. I appreciate that Americans and Canadians refer to companies as corporations, but I still think that if you just aggregate the Brits, the Ozzies, the Kiwis and other Commonwealth countries, the business entity is going to be by far the bulk of the hits as opposed to the other options on the disambiguation page.—Preceding unsigned comment added by Legis (talk • contribs) 16 June 2006

- Yep. In fact there is a really easy way to track number of hits now on Wikipedia. See [1]. --RossF18 (talk) 00:45, 19 December 2009 (UTC)
Wrong Hyperlink
[edit]The hyperlink for "business organization" is redirecting to "Companies (law)". —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.255.105.228 (talk) 01:48, 3 October 2008 (UTC)
about company formation
[edit]dear sir, on a project i want to know more about the formation of company —Preceding unsigned comment added by 59.93.67.80 (talk) 09:56, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Merger
[edit]I think Business and Company should be merged. A company is a business organization; business as defined in Business (ostensibly) means the same thing. If there is a difference, that difference should be clearly pointed out. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.230.232.131 (talk) 22:17, 25 January 2010 (UTC)
- Business is wider than Company. See the explanation in the lead para of Company. I have now clarified in the lead para of Business. --Mhockey (talk) 11:39, 24 January 2011 (UTC)
First Sentence
[edit]A company is an association or collection of individuals people or "warm-bodies" or else contrived "legal persons" (or a mixture of both).
Grammar: It seems pretty obvious there should be a comma after the word "individuals" right? TimBurleson (talk) 14:38, 9 April 2013 (UTC)

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, Enegycity. First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – Company. Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at Company – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.
If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. --Non-Dropframe talk 10:30, 17 September 2015 (UTC)
