The advice on household use of eggshells didn't really belong to Wikipedia (as Wikipedia is not a how-to guide); that leaves us with the sentence about the egg-laying animals, which was poorly phrased (by "there are three egg-laying mammals" you actually meant "there are three extant genera of egg-laying mammals"); and discussion of just about how many egg-laying mammals exists would better belong to Monotreme, where it's indeed dealt with in detail.
