While I was gone | When I came back

about your mood

[edit]

Hi there, I saw the edit summary for your userpage. I'm glad that people on Wikipedia are giving you support at a time when you need it, but I'm also saddened that you don't have that level of support in real life. I hope things get better for you. --Kyoko 04:23, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Seriously, I hope that you won't resort to — how to say it? — non-constructive ways of resolving your situation. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know. --Kyoko 14:49, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I also want to add this: did you want me to put you on the Esperanza Alerts page? --Kyoko 22:12, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's a relief. And since you're sharing, twice attempted, haven't yet succeeded. --Kyoko 23:02, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'll try to follow your example. Taking antidepressant medication takes the edge off, so to speak, but it isn't a total fix. --Kyoko 23:09, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I would like to be better as well. It's just not as easy or as quick to recover as I would like.
You know, you're the first person I've ever told about my prior suicide attempt (apart from in real life, of course, which couldn't be helped). That was when I was a teenager, and I was really messed up then. I thought that I was over all that, but I guess I was wrong. I'm flattered that you call me an inspiration, but I don't feel as if I've done anything to deserve that. Thanks anyway.
Totally unrelated, but would you mind reviewing me on Editor review? I know that this an awkward time to ask, but I had been meaning to ask you anyway, since I'm online, I might as well ask now. Thanks. --Kyoko 23:47, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I'm very sorry that you went through all that, and I hope that you get better. It's true that not everybody is able to handle the burden of another person's stress.
As a side note, sorry about the nonsense that's going on below. If it gets to be too annoying or creepy, you might consider mentioning it on the Adminstrator intervention against vandalism page. Thanks again. --Kyoko 00:14, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I wish I could claim that contacting WP:AIV was my idea, but it was actually suggested to me by another user, after the invasion on my talk page had already subsided.--Kyoko 00:42, 6 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

yes ma'am!

[edit]

I know, I've been terrible. Amazingly, between editing, I've managed to complete a chapter on protein synthesis, but I really should enforce my Wikibreak now. The moment you say you're going to go on a break, your talk page becomes a hub of activity. It's shocking.

But thanks for reminding me :) I really do appreciate it... and sorry for attempting to monopolise your watchlist :p riana_dzasta 14:27, 5 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

No need! :) I'm on enforced Wikibreak now. Can't log in 'til the 23rd, unless I change my system settings, and I can't because my computer's locked. Take care, and I definitely won't be here 'til then :) P.S. if creepiness on your talk page continues, I recommend what Kyoko suggests... especially in the light of that user's previous behaviour. -- Riana
That was amazingly creepy - the question about nanotech came just as I was looking for information on porous silicon. Spooky! Yeah, I'm only in first year, so I still have time to toss options around... I know it's going to be Chemistry, but I seem to fall in love with each thing I learn about more than the last one, so I haven't managed to narrow it down much more than that. But you - law, nanotechnology, ballet... anything you're not interested in? ;) riana_dzasta 20:36, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Dude, -10 - please talk to us if you need to. riana_dzasta 20:46, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Break? Meh. No motivation to study Biology, because I'm on a high distinction average in it, and I'm not pursuing it past this year. Other exams are ages later. I know, it's a shoddy excuse. I just have no willpower, that's all. All that vandalism to be reverted... all those... wait, what the hell else do I do around here? :p riana_dzasta 20:50, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Tee hee! Replied on my talk page. Thanks for being a good friend :) Oh, and what happened to your beautiful talkpage? riana_dzasta 11:30, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
That's good! I hope your mood improves ASAP. PS if you're even vaguely interested in chemistry, I'm snooping around Portal:Chemistry - I'm thinking about adding some stuff (maybe a DYK section... and it doesn't seem to be updated as frequently as it could be). Feel free to join in - you're better at layouts and things like that. riana_dzasta 11:39, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Complaints?

[edit]

I would like to apoligise to all who have fallen to my stupidity over the last few days. Firstly the whole navigation bar problem is fibe now, I am deleting it and I am going to get a higher user to design me another one, sorry to all users who were offended in those events. Also i apologise to Editor at Large. I tried to make a better tie to a well developed nation and i failed and then accidentally let Culverin loose on you. Sorry! Now that i have apologised i would like to make a point about using my complaints page when you have a complaint. So please use that talk page in the future for complaints.

Regards

Two questions

[edit]

First, have you been to Egypt to see the pyramid ruins? Second, how can I make a userbox and have it approved? Thanks. Bearly541 talk 01:19, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Namespace edits

[edit]

Keep in mind that user namespace edits aren't frowned upon per se. On the contrary, sandbox edits which are applied to creating or improving articles are considered namespace edits. If it's a new article, then when you are done, you should move the article to the main namespace. If you are improving a lot of articles in sandbox pages, be sure to point this out at your RfA, so that your user namespace edit count is not misinterpretted. It just doesn't look good if you have 2000 edits and 1800 of those were to your userpage. But if they weren't then you don't have anything to worry about.  The Transhumanist   13:02, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Dear Editor at Large,

[edit]

The Admin school is wasted, but I've set up a Virtual classroom for the mutual sharing of experience. Some very experienced editors have already contributed some very useful tips. Feel free to join in to learn, to coach, or both.  The Transhumanist   13:02, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

quick thanks

[edit]

Hi there, quick thanks, I wanted to respond to your message before leaving. I wish you were better too. Hopefully I'll be able to get back to you soon, thanks again. --Kyoko 23:24, 7 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Password

[edit]

What is the so-called wiki-wide password for the WikiPlomacy pbwiki? And what's the point of a wiki that you can't edit w/out a password? AlethiophileAsk me why 03:44, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Save Wikiplomacy

[edit]

Wikiplomacy is about to be deleted, if you want to keep it going go here Culverin? Talk 10:02, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hey there. I saw you were starting a PBWiki for WikiPlomacy and other games? I know at least one person had said to move it off PBWiki, so I was figuring I could offer a hand? I run a reseller account on a webhost, and I'm willing to donate space for free for a site dedicated to wiki community. I'd probably even throw in a free domain name. I also have a bunch of history with wikis (see here and here, both run by me -- as well as my history on WP), so it'd be no problem for me to set up. If you wanted to collaborate, drop me a line on my talk page. I'm at work now, so it'll be this evening before I could get the ball rolling, but potentially we could cut the legs out from under this whole deletion discussion and do some good at the same time ;) --Wolf530 (talk) 17:24, 8 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, EAL. I have two things to ask you; one, please give me this password for the PBWiki WikiPlomacy, and also please move all the pages related to WikiPlomacy there. This includes all the subpages I've listed at the MFD, but not the Secret Plans page, which I will nom for delete and do not want to be merged. Thanks. What Happened to your Page?

[edit]

Also, how can I get my signature to be like this Bearly451 talk instead of like this Bearly451 talk ? Thanks! Bearly451 talk 02:05, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, something weird happened. Bearly451 talk 02:05, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the barnstar! And it's Bearly541, just made a typo that I now seen.Bearly541 00:41, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiplomacy

[edit]

Hey Editor at Large, regarding your talkpage, as Wikiplomacy is gone, would you be ok with me deleting your user subpage on the topic? I understand all this stuff is moving to another wiki or something, with existing pages being MfD'd - it's simpler to avoid the paperwork involved in that if you're ok with it. Hop you feel better soon! --Improv 07:02, 9 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

RfA thanks

[edit]
Thank you for the extra feathers on my wings!

Thank you so much, Editor at Large, for your support in my RfA, which passed on November 11, 2006, with a final tally of 82/0/2. I am humbled by the kind support of so many fellow Wikipedians, and I vow to continue to work and improve with the help of these new tools. Should you have any request, do not hesitate to contact me. Feel better soon! Best regards, Húsönd 21:31, 11 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Eeek!

[edit]

Hey, I'm so sorry I haven't had time to reply to your e-mail (a 2 line answer wouldn't have sufficed, obviously). I'll send you one in a couple of hours. Much love, riana_dzasta 01:07, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Rousseau, and :)

[edit]

Sure, I'll start working on translating the article on Rousseau tomorrow or or the day after. Though, to be honest, I don't know him at all. I'll have to check the IMDb for the English names of his films. Thanks for helping me find something to translate! I often get the feeling that there's not much left to translate on the English Wikipedia. That's why I haven't done much here yet.

Welcome back, by the way. :) My talk page is open if you feel the need to talk. Depression is never easy, but often it helps to talk to someone who knows something about it.

I'll try it tomorrow

Hi there, I'll try it tomorrow, I think I'll go to bed early tonight. Thanks for showing me more about modifying templates! --Kyoko 03:54, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Randfan

Could you please make a template for Randfan, because I think he feels left out! Bearly541 21:30, 13 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
