July 2012[edit]

Please do not remove content or templates from pages on Wikipedia, as you did to Deaths in 2012, without giving a valid reason for the removal in the edit summary. Your content removal does not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please make use of the sandbox if you'd like to experiment with test edits. Thank you. SudoGhost 23:12, 9 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Your recent editing history at Deaths in 2012 shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. Being involved in an edit war can result in you being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly.

To avoid being blocked, instead of reverting please consider using the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. See BRD for how this is done. You can post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.   — Jess· Δ 00:19, 10 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removing references from Deaths in 2012[edit]

Please stop removing references and cite templates from Deaths in 2012, such as you did here: [1] [2] [3] [4] [5]

This is getting disruptive. We discussed this issue with the community, and decided collectively that sticking with the MOS regarding inline external links and referencing information was important, and should be applied to this (and other) articles. Please do not continue to remove that information, and revert other editors when they add it. Thank you.   — Jess· Δ 22:31, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]

August 2012[edit]

Thanks for contributing the new article Jackie Watters. However, one of Wikipedia's core policies is that material must be verifiable, by being clearly attributed to reliable sources. Please help by adding more sources to the article you created, and/or by clarifying how the sources already given support the material (see here for how to do inline referencing). Many thanks! PS If you need any help, you can look at Help:Contents/Editing Wikipedia or ask at Wikipedia:New contributors' help page, or just ask me. GiantSnowman 16:36, 15 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi! It seems you recently created an unreferenced biography of a living person: Bruce MacGregor (musician). The community has decided that all new biographies of living persons must contain a reliable source that supports at least one statement made about the person in the article as per our verifiability policy. Please add references as soon as possible. Thanks! --LaraBot (talk) 00:16, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Bruce MacGregor (musician) has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, all newly created biographies of living persons must have at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. Disambiguation link notification for October 24[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2012–13 in Scottish football, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Jim Rollo (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 15:06, 24 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, I'm Widr. I noticed that you recently removed some content from 2013 without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Widr (talk) 18:47, 23 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Removing AfD template[edit]

This is your last warning. The next time you remove an Articles for deletion notice or a comment from an AfD discussion, as you did at Laura Mvula, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. This is an automated message from a bot about this edit, where you removed the deletion template from an article before the deletion discussion was complete. If this message is in error, please report it. Snotbot  t • c »  01:03, 8 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
