Kilmarnock & Troon Railway

[edit]

Hello Dreamer. I was wondering about the apparent branch line on the K&T tramway. The NLS link to maps of 1821 & 1828 seem to indicate a branch at Gatehead heading across the Irvine towards Fairlie and beyond. Any ideas. Was it built or was it just a plan that never got off the ground? The G&SWR Fairlie Branch, built much later, seems to almost duplicate it. Rosser 15:29, 3 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

K&T - Failrlie Branch

[edit]

Hello, Yes, I see what you mean. One of the other 'general' maps seems to show it abandoned & the dotted lines on Airey's map coincides with this. Thanks. Rosser 16:54, 4 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Duplicates

[edit]

Can you substitute on your subpages all svg-images for railwaydiagrams, which are duplicates, with the other one ? That will be nice. You can find them here. The filenames start with "BSicon" and contain the substring "STB" somewhere behind. Thank you. 84.150.215.245 11:48, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Lugton

[edit]

Hello Dreamer, Thanks for that. I have a gallery to add to Lugton & some photographs of Kilmaurs & Kilmarnock - please check them for accuracy if you have time. Rosser 08:38, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kilmarnock station

[edit]

Hello, The Burns Line Plaque photo is just for your interest. Please remove it. Now I think of it, I suppose I can just send images in the usual way to your 'Discussion' box? Is that right? The station staff insist that it is still called the Burns Line officially - but I have my doubts. Rosser 09:31, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Burns line

[edit]

Hello. The name certainly hasn't caught on! I see they are still repairing Kilmarnock Signal box. I hope they caught the arsonist? I see the one in England was caught. He left a McDonald's receipt on one of his crime scenes and he was identified from CCTV footage! 172.202.78.127 15:29, 18 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Caldwell Station

[edit]

I have added a Caldwell summary to the Lugton Misc and in full to the Uplawmoor article. Have you seen the photographs of Lugton and Uplawmoor stations etc. on the Canmore site? Nice to know they exist, even if they can't be copied and used on Wiki. Rosser 18:45, 21 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your comments here leave me concerned that you might not be familiar with the Wikipedia:Ownership of articles policy, in particular that no editors own articles (or templates etc.). Whilst I must suggest that Pigsonthewing is welcome to make whatever changes he feels appropriate, it could of course be polite to discuss these with the main contributors as they may have a better understanding of the intended purpose of a template. Regards. Adambro 21:52, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I'm familiar with the intended purpose, thank you. In the light of WP:OWN perhaps you might kindly revert the last, inappropriate, edit, rather than lecturing on manners? Andy Mabbett 21:57, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
My language was probably have been too emotive, however I do not feel inclined to revert this edit. I believe that User:Dreamer84 who is the major contributor to this template should be allow to make this change. If he deems is appropriate to revert my edit, then so be it. --Stewart 22:18, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry

[edit]

I just got carried away with what I thought had been an unjustifed reversion of your edit. Should have just kept out of it. --Stewart 23:07, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Don't worry, I appreciated the help. I'll have to make sure I give better edit reasons next time. Thanks though. --Dreamer84 23:19, 6 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Kilmaurs Railway Station

[edit]

I was on the last train out of the Station on Saturday 5 November 1966, along with my father and brother and a good number of travellers. I was also on the first train out of Kilmaurs on Saturday 12 May 1984 as an invited guest. The relevance of the 'tea and biscuits', is that the Scout Group was specially invited by Strathclyde Transport to carry out this immense task.
