Speedy deletion nomination of Study for Woman in Black and Green[edit]

This is a cut-and-paste so I can see Singularity42's instructions on my page.

Welcome to Wikipedia, Dot1958. First, I think Wikipedia:Introduction is a great place to help get started with Wikipedia. As for your specific question - how to fix an error in an article - you can edit the article to fix an error. Let's use Zero Mostel as an example (you may have to modify what I am saying to take into account your visual problems).

1. As you discovered, there is an error with the name of the artist's favourite painting in the section called "Early life", and there is no reference about the story of his amusing the museum patrons (and as I'm sure you know, it is very easy for an error to come up in a Wikipedia article).

2. Now that you have discovered the error, click "edit" at the top of that section, which will allow you to edit that section.

3. Find "Study for Woman in Black and Green" and change it to "Study in Black and Green". You could click "save page" now, and the error will be fixed. However, before you do that, you may want to look at the next step first.

4. If you really want to improve an article, see if you can find a reliable secondary source that talks about the story of the museum patrons being amused. If you find it, you can add it as a reference. If you're not sure how to add a reference, let me know. Once you've added the reference, save the page.

Looking for Gingerbread Crumbs[edit]

Good day. I am a newbie with visual problems and need a bit of help.

There was a page somewhere ... perhaps in a tutorial, perhaps a user example ... with two white columns and black print. It was beautifully simple; I could read it very well. There isn't another page like it, at least that I have found - and unfortunately, I didn't add it to my Favourites. If you help me find it, I promise to save it. Thank you. Unfortunately, there are currently over 24 million pages in Wikipedia, over 3 million of them being articles. There's just no way to find the page based on the limited description. Sorry... Singularity42 (talk) 21:41, 17 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
