Caution! In Glory Days (Little Mix album) there's a painful ongoing discussion in Talk:Glory Days (Little Mix album) about this genre. Wikipedia recognizes two main forms of "R&B": the traditional Rhythm and blues, most popular roughly 1940–1970, and Contemporary R&B, which only started in the late 1970s. AFAICS, the citation is for "60s-style R&B" which would refer to the former (or possibly to the British rhythm and blues genre, but that's a whole other discussion). ... richi (hello) 17:11, 24 November 2016 (UTC)
