Proposed deletion of Miss Crown International 2015
[edit]The article Miss Crown International 2015 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- Suspected hoax. No trace of this beauty pageant found outside the Wikipedia article.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. • Gene93k (talk) 20:17, 28 December 2015 (UTC)
Speedy deletion nomination of Miss Crown International 2015
[edit]If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.
You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.
A tag has been placed on Miss Crown International 2015 requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about an organized event (tour, function, meeting, party, etc.), but it does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. The speedy deletion and issue templates
[edit]As you are not the sole article creator, you can't remove the speedy deletion template yourself. If you want to contest the speedy deletion, please do so on Talk:List of Miss Crown International titleholders. If your vote wins, the speedy deletion template will eventually be removed. As for the issues templates, those can be taken away after you improve the article to the point when those templates don't apply anymore. Regards, Philmonte101 (talk) 08:33, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
Please stop
[edit]Please do not create anymore articles regarding Miss Crown International. If it's being speedied on one page, it hurts the encyclopedia to make more. I've already created the next page on the template with the awards list, which was probably your next goal. Maybe I shouldn't have done that, but I did it to let people know to delete all the content, and to let you know that everything about Miss Crown International is unsourceable at the moment. Notability
[edit]I've deleted the articles and thought I'd explain why. The basic gist is that ultimately the article did not show how the pageant was notable, nor did a search bring up anything to show that the pageant was notable. To be honest, there really wasn't anything to show that the pageant actually exists. In order to establish why the pageant would merit an article you need to provide sourcing to show how it's notable. This can be done by showing newspaper coverage of the event, for example. Since there were concerns that this might be a hoax, you also need to be able to establish that it exists, although I will warn you that events are not automatically notable because they occurred. - Additionally, for your list pages, please also see Wikipedia:Stand-alone lists. You created several list articles charting only two or three people or events. Those lists are too short and should be only mentioned on the main article. In the case that a main topic is actually verifiable and notable, please consider going and looking at that page before creating a list page. Oh, and you need to put categories and references on lists too. Thanks for your contributions. The fact that you tried still means a lot! Philmonte101 (talk) 10:34, 30 December 2015 (UTC)
