Adding references

[edit]

I have reverted your edit to M203 grenade launcher since you didn't provide a reliable source there either. Adding your user name as ref is creative, but it's not WP:RS, and could be seen as trying to sneak through a faked reference. So read up on reliable sources and how to add citations before doing any more edits. Thomas.W (talk) 19:47, 30 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did to AT4, without verifying it by citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Thank you. Articles on other Wikipedias can not be used as references. And you should not add your own user name as ref. You will have to find a proper external reference for it if you want to add it again. Thomas.W (talk) 18:35, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

AT-4

[edit]

Hello. I took a look at the Spanish language Wikipedia and noted that there is no reference/source for the claim that Chile use the AT-4 light weight anti-tank weapon there either. I made a search on Google for you, trying to find references for Chilean use of the AT-4, but found nothing. I also looked at the SIPRI arms trade register, and found nothing there either. So apparently Chile does not use the AT-4, even though the Spanish language WP says so. Sorry. Thomas.W (talk) 18:50, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I also reverted your addition of Chile as a user for the M203 grenade launcher. For the exact same reason as for the AT-4. The Spanish language WP apparently doesn't require proper references, but the English language WP does, so until you find proper references for Chilean use of the AT-4 and the M203 your attempts to add Chile as a user will be reverted. Thomas.W (talk) 18:58, 3 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop adding unsourced content, as you did to AT4. This contravenes Wikipedia's policy on verifiability. If you continue to do so, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. The reference you provided is a blog, and blogs are not reliable sources. Thomas.W talk to me 20:46, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Stop icon This is your last warning. The next time you add unsourced material to Wikipedia, as you did at M203 grenade launcher, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Thomas.W talk to me 20:49, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Here's a picture of Chilean soldiers using the AT4, enough? [1] Diaments 7.0 (talk) 20:55, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
It's a good start, but it would be even better if you found a link to a page on the Chilean Army website, that can be linked to in the reference. Thomas.W talk to me 21:00, 6 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
