Greetings

[edit]

Hello, Deeznuts555. You received the message above because some of the posts you made appeared to be vandalism. (Many editors here spend a lot of time fixing articles in which people have deliberately written derogatory remarks or false information.) The additions you made looked like vandalism because they were not cited and because you added a lot of material in a short period of time. Your posts also sounded like essays, whereas at Wikipedia, we try to write articles that are encyclopedic and have a neutral point of view.

I wanted to write you this note in case you were really trying to help out here at Wikipedia. If that is the case, I want to be the first to welcome you to Wikipedia! Before making future edits you should read over these pages which will help you to better understand what it is we do here:

The five pillars of Wikipedia How to edit a page Help pages Tutorial How to write a great article Manual of Style

I hope you enjoy editing here and being a Wikipedian! Please sign your name on talk pages using four tildes (Fixer1234 02:23, 19 April 2007 (UTC)); this will automatically produce your name and the date. I hope you decide to stay at Wikipedia and work to become a helpful editor! My best Fixer1234 02:23, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PS: You should also create a user page with a little information about yourself. (You don't need to write your real name or anything like that, just say what your interests are and why you are helping out on Wikipedia) This will help people to know you are here to help, not vandalize.
