Hello, Dcsohl. Welcome to Wikipedia.

A few tips for you to start going. (I'll send more if I see that I can help you :-)

  • Just edit stuff off the cuff for a while. We like that!
  • When you have time, check out Wikipedia:Welcome, newcomers + the links in there.
  • You can sign your stuff on talk pages with ~~~~ It will convert to your username + the time. "anon" is fine too.
  • If puzzled, put a question on Wikipedia:Village pump, or feel free to ask me on my talk page if it's a very general question.
  • Most of all, have fun but take our work seriously!

[edit]

Please check this article. I reverted a "minor" edit by User:Wik (which incidentally wiped a whole load of stuff and mangled the structure of the article) which preceded your latest edit. I think I replaced your contribution correctly but you'd be doing me a favour if you could confirm that. Phil 15:30, Jan 13, 2004 (UTC)

Ford! Great to run into you. Looks like you've been contributing on and off for over a year. If you'd like to stick around, the place could use your touch. Ta-ta. – Quadell (talk) (sleuth) 18:55, July 19, 2005 (UTC)

Hinduism

[edit]

Hello Ford. I noticed your contribution to Hinduism. Back at the talk page there was an agreement that, given the current state of the article and the insistent addition of poor inputs, a complete rewrite was needed. It is being done at Talk:Hinduism/temp. You are invited to drop by, if you have some time to spare. Thanks, Subramanian talk 15:36, 28 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Boston Globe reporter

[edit]

I'm a reporter for Boston Globe writing a story about Wiki entries for local cities and towns. Interested to talk to contributors to articles. I saw your user name on the Natick history page. I'm on deadline, alas. Please contact me at [email protected] by Sunday, Sept. 17, if you'd be willing to do a brief telephone interview about Wiki. Thanks! Thomas

Thanks for your help on article Kentucky

[edit]

I was hoping someone could clarify the situation with the non-contiguous part or parts of Kentucky. Living only an hour from Evansville I still wasn't aware of any non-contiguous section of the state near there. Thanks for cleaning/clearing that issue up. Raines

[edit]

Please see the new revisions to page on Franklin Raines. I asked in the discussion if anyone had a link between Obama and Raines. Writing because you may be knowledgable on Raines.

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
