A tag has been placed on File:Pierce Brosnan in circa 2012.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused redundant copy (all pixels the same or scaled down) of an image in the same file format, which is on Wikipedia (not on Commons), and all inward links have been updated.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. A tag has been placed on Nathan Forest Winters requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

Speedy deletion of "Clay Bergus"[edit]

A page you created, Clay Bergus, has been tagged for deletion, as it meets one or more of the criteria for speedy deletion; specifically, it is very short and provides little or no context.

You are welcome to contribute content which complies with our content policies and any applicable inclusion guidelines. However, please do not simply re-create the page with the same content. You may also wish to read our introduction to editing and guide to writing your first article.

Avoiding copyright problems[edit]

Hello, and welcome. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Wikipedia:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page . Thank you. Tbhotch. Grammatically incorrect? Correct it! See terms and conditions. 03:04, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problems with File:Jon.manfrelotti.jpg.png[edit]

Hello. Concerning your contribution, File:Jon.manfrelotti.jpg.png, please note that Wikipedia cannot accept copyrighted text or images obtained from other web sites or printed material, without the permission of the author(s). This article or image appears to be a direct copy from http://www.imdb.com/media/rm505780736/nm0542074. As a copyright violation, File:Jon.manfrelotti.jpg.png appears to qualify for deletion under the speedy deletion criteria. File:Jon.manfrelotti.jpg.png has been tagged for deletion, and may have been deleted by the time you see this message.

If you believe that the article or image is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content freely under the Creative Commons Attribution/Share-Alike License (CC-BY-SA) then you should do one of the following:

However, for textual content, you may simply consider rewriting the content in your own words. While contributions are appreciated, Wikipedia must require all contributors to understand and comply with its copyright policy. Wikipedia takes copyright concerns very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. Thank you. Voceditenore (talk) 14:22, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

  • Note: You must stop uploading images by other photographers and claiming they are your own work and that they have never been previously published. The image appears here and is clearly marked Photo by Rebecca Sapp – © WireImage.com. It also appears here in the cropped form you uploaded. This is the 7th time you've done this. You really must read up on our copyright policies because if you persistently violate them you risk being blocked, which would be very unfortunate. Voceditenore (talk) 14:52, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Some advice about your editing[edit]

I've noticed that some of your edits are a bit problematic. First of all you must not change or add information about people without providing a source for that information. You've done this at Katherine Helmond, Jon Manfrellotti, and Philip Clarke. That last one appears to completely made up, as the sources say he was 50 years old in 2010, i.e. born 1960, but you gave the date as 16 December 1957. You need to support your changes with a citation to a reliable source and never add made up information. Wikipedia has a strict policy concerning how we write about living people.

You've also been adding and/or altering protection templates, e.g. [1], [2], [3], [4]. Only administrators can add or alter these templates. These edits all had to be reverted and this can be very disruptive, even though you may not have meant it to be. If you think a page needs protection, you can post a note at Wikipedia:Requests for page protection explaining why and adminstrators will take a look at the situation.

Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 16:25, 7 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The article Wendi Trilling has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. ⁓ Hello71 16:46, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Please stop your disruptive editing[edit]

Your editing is becoming very disruptive. Please stop this. You are continuing to alter protection templates. ([5], [6], [7]) I have explained to you why this is inappropriate. You have also blanked a large portion of Barry White and made a completely inappropriate page move at Peter Sauer. His name was Peter Sauer. His professional wrestling name was Ray Steele. His name was not Ray Sauer. You also added a date of birth for which there is no reference whatsoever and may well be spurious. Voceditenore (talk) 19:07, 10 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for persistent disruptive editing. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.
