I think your edits to that article are excellent. You've stuck to facts, referenced these facts, using the correct formatting and language, and really, that's all Wikipedia asks for. I understand your concern about the journalistic style, but I wouldn't worry about that too much. "According to Per Skantz", probably isn't necessary, but it's certainly not a negative and doesn't interrupt the flow of the article. If you'd like some advice/tips on encyclopedic writing, I'd point you toward Tony1, he's a bit of a guru when it comes to that type of thing.
