Jefcostello[edit]

Can we delete the article? Or send a new and correct and spesific info about this person? And we have another set up? the info is too short, and the layout those not look correct. The info is false and needs to be corrected. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jefcostello (talkcontribs) 15:14, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

...for cleaning my talk page; a few minutes later I was coming to do the same for you, but someone got there first. Our friend has got a week off; he's asking to be unblocked, but I don't fancy his chances. Regards, JohnCD (talk) 18:49, 10 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The motto talk pages (plus FUI note)[edit]

If that were so, they would need to be archived to so show where they originally were etc but maybe. I'm not really sure about the approved section altogether now as the way things have been currently done it makes the page obsolete IMHO. Btw, the FUI page needs seriously updating so do you think i should send a note asking for help to all the people on the partici[pants page and in the category? Simply south (talk) 18:46, 13 March 2009 (UTC) I did, check the FUI page. Queenie 20:55, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks on that. I'm sure there are others but wait for what otther people suggest. Simply south (talk) 21:11, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry[edit]

Sorry I couldn't help with the name change /nick thing (IRC) .. I didn't know what else to suggest, hope one of the other folks can help you get it figured out ;) — Ched ~ (yes?) 15:05, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ah well, we might get it figured out. One thing: where should we take it? The public IRC channel? Queenie 15:10, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure - neuro is pretty good with this kind of stuff - let me look up talk page — Ched ~ (yes?) 15:16, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know the public IRC channel - but you could try:

those would be the three I would try. I remember when I first started, neuro even fired up an IM program to get me going with the IRC. Great young man! Depends on who's on at the help desk .. lot of good folks there though, and same with Computer Ref Desk. — Ched ~ (yes?) 15:21, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

this says that /nick should work though — Ched ~ (yes?) 15:23, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I was able to change from Visitor_1 to Ched[D] ok — Ched ~ (yes?) 15:25, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Sorry - was wrestling with complicated template. :) I'll go to all of the above and try my luck. Thanks! Queenie 15:49, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hey there! /nick is pretty much an accepted standard - to find out how to fix your issue I will need to know what client you are using. — neuro(talk) 22:30, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Alright, I'm not well up on IRC speak and am not sure what you mean by "client", so I may be wrong; I use Java and view IRC in the IE window. Queenie 13:58, 15 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
What is the web address? — neuro(talk) 01:38, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Again, I'm a total newb at this, so ..... [1]. Queenie 20:35, 16 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Awww shucks![edit]

Hi Queenie

Many thanks for your kind logo! I'm really new to all this and know more about trivia than I do about posting on Wikipedia. Any and all help much appreciated. I'd reciprocate if only I knew how! --TammyMoet (talk) 18:53, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Why thank you Queenie![edit]

for your kind offer of (desperately needed) user page design. Ye gods, my request must have been 12 months ago. I would love you to renovate my userpage - surprise me. I have no idea what two colours would look good - anything except a shocking pink would be fine (mind you even that would be fun for a while!). sorry for not getting back to you sooner, I've been off wiki for a while. And a very Happy St. Pats day to you from sunny Cambodia (where we are also drinking Guinness). Cheers, Paxse (talk) 15:04, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

please create as many subpages as you like! Thank you! Paxse (talk) 16:43, 17 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you Queenie! my userpage now looks most professional. I don't know how you do it, I am a complete idiot when it comes to tables and formatting, it all looks Greek to me. Please let me know if there is anything I can help you with to return the favour. Could I make a couple of additional requests? I'd like my userboxen in a single column (to the right?). I'd also like to change the links at the top to a few subpages and perhaps have my sandboxes in a collapsible menu further down. If you are too busy then please don't worry about it. Hope you are having a great Sunday wherever you are (Ireland?) and thank you again. Cheers, Paxse (talk) 06:46, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Can you help out here?[edit]

Hiya Can you have a look at my talk page and tell me what happened to get me blocked? I'm unblocked now, but I still don't understand what happened in the first place. Ta for your help! --TammyMoet (talk) 17:44, 19 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Huggling?[edit]

Howdy. Just stumbled accross your page somehow and i noticed at the top it says this:

'I enjoy decision-making at MOTD, Huggling, helping out at all the help desks,'

By Huggling do you mean Huggle rather than the Project Hungary it links to? If not sorry for wasting your time! Uksam88 (talk) 23:03, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Whoops! Thanks for that. I probably meant to type WP:HUG but missed the G (I type too fast for my own good sometimes :D). Anyway, disaster averted. Thanks! Queenie 16:22, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: MOTD barnstar[edit]

Hi. No, I don't mind, and you're welcome to re-upload the image under a new version (the thing is, though, I usually release my images to the public domain). Are you using the same source images from scratch and re-integrating them into the image? Will it be in the same filename (.jpg)? Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 22:07, 27 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, actually, I was going to put up a message on the reward board. I only have Paint, and was hoping for someone with Photoshop [or any other image editing tool like that] to integrate File:Original Barnstar.png with the "motto" used in File:MOTD Barnstar.jpg to create a cleaner image. I'll put up that request straight away as soon as I have your permission. And I think that .png is better than .jpg when it comes to barnstars, but it's your decision as the original uploader. Queenie 12:25, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hi. OK, the original "lightbulb" image I used was this one, but a different lightbulb image could be used if a better one is found. Other than Paint, I also use The GIMP as an image editing program. I'm OK with re-uploading the image under .png, it's just that the new version will end up on a different file name, and thus will be a different image altogether. If that is the case, then the image used on the template for the MOTD barnstar, as well as all user and user talk pages which the barnstar has been awarded to, will need to be replaced with the new one. I agree that the image is a bit coarse, and also, the template for the MOTD barnstar is a bit too tall as well. I give you permission to have the barnstar image re-uploaded. Thanks. ~AH1(TCU) 18:08, 29 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Reward Board request fulfilled - File:MOTD Barnstar2.PNG. A userpage renovation is probably due but I'm not too fussed. Have a go if you like but don't replace my stuff yet. Thanks. OrangeDog (talkedits) 22:01, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
