[edit]Hi. Sorry, but the pronoun question is not as clear as you are making it out to be. See this article, for example. Thanks. Paul Erik (talk)(contribs) 03:17, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
January 2021
[edit]Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit you made to Wicca, did not appear constructive and has been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. The changes you made, while appearing good, actually change the meaning of the article in ways that are bad. Are you using Grammarly (or some similar tool) on Wikipedia pages? — UncleBubba ( T @ C ) 22:14, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
Hi Cryptic.rat! I noticed that you recently marked an edit as minor at Strike-slip tectonics that may not have been. "Minor edit" has a very specific definition on Wikipedia – it refers only to superficial edits that could never be the subject of a dispute, such as typo corrections or reverting obvious vandalism. Any edit that changes the meaning of an article is not a minor edit, even if it only concerns a single word. Please see Help:Minor edit for more information. Thank you. — UncleBubba ( T @ C ) 22:27, 20 January 2021 (UTC)
Are you using Grammarly to "correct" Wikipedia articles?
[edit]Are you using Grammarly to "correct" Wikipedia articles? Some of the edits you are making—most recently to Subduction—appear to have come from that tool. And 95% of them are wrong. — UncleBubba ( T @ C ) 22:47, 25 January 2021 (UTC)
List of amphibians of ...
[edit]Thanks for your work on the List of amphibians of ... series. I added them to my watchlist a while ago and I've been meaning to give them a good editing, especially for capitalization. As I've seen them come up on my watchlist after your edits, I've been going over them again. I wanted to let you know why I was following you in that way. I'm not stalking your edits. Keep up the good work. SchreiberBike | ⌨ 19:08, 22 November 2021 (UTC)
- @SchreiberBike: Thank you! I'm glad I could help. Cryptic.rat (talk) 19:39, 22 November 2021 (UTC)

[edit]Small categories
[edit]Hi, please don't create new categories for plant genera with only a small number of species. There's guidance at Wikipedia:WikiProject_Plants/Categorization#Taxonomic categories, which says categorize an article at the highest taxonomic rank which yields a "sensible" set of category sizes (say 10-100 entries)
. Peter coxhead (talk) 07:32, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
- @Peter coxhead: Oh, alright. Thank you for telling me, I won't make this mistake again. Cryptic.rat (talk) 16:22, 8 January 2021 (UTC)
- No problems. It's not a major issue. Peter coxhead (talk) 19:58, 8 January 2022 (UTC)
Disambiguation link notification for November 11
[edit]Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Botanical Garden of Lourizán, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Galicia. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)
It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 05:58, 11 November 2022 (UTC)

CS1 error on East Pacific red octopus
[edit]Hello, I'm Qwerfjkl (bot). I have automatically detected that this edit performed by you, on the page East Pacific red octopus, may have introduced referencing errors. They are as follows:
- A "missing periodical" error. References show this error when the name of the magazine or journal is not given. Please edit the article to add the name of the magazine/journal to the reference, or use a different citation template. (Fix | Ask for help)
Please check this page and fix the errors highlighted. If you think this is a false positive, you can report it to my operator. Thanks, Qwerfjkl (bot) (talk) 16:49, 27 April 2023 (UTC)

Melaleuca crispii/Conothamnus neglectus
[edit]In 2014 Lyndley Craven transferred all the species of Beaufortia, Calothamnus, Eremaea, Lamarchea, Phymatocarpus and Regelia to Melaleuca. No Australian authorities accept the change. (You have given no reference for the change, but Plants of the World Online accepts all of the changes listed above.) PoWO also accepts Craven's transfer of all Callistemon to Melaleuca, but this change is accepted by at least some Australian authorities.
I hope you will not mind if I revert your move. Very happy to discuss the change here. Gderrin (talk) 23:27, 22 November 2023 (UTC)
- Oh, sorry about that. I usually use POWO as a reference, in the future I'll check more sources. Thank you for telling me! Cryptic.rat (talk) 00:42, 23 November 2023 (UTC)
